A Secret Place

Lucy's POV
It has been three days since we started our journey and it seems like that huge dragon incident is behind us. We were traveling to the middle of the four kingdoms that rules over this country. Natsu said that taking a route that was secluded was better just in case bandit attack, plus it was faster. Which made sense because I don't need to waste my energy on fighting and I want to get away from my father as fast as possible. The last town that we stopped in, I almost got caught by a bunch of my fathers men.
Over these few days I had become quite use to Natsu's weirdness. For example, every time he sleeps he makes as much noise as possible. So to counter that I just mute my heat until a certain time. Then he has no manners, which I really shouldn't complain because he catches all our food. Even though he may seem like an idiot sometimes, he is still the nicest guy I have ever met.
(A/N: just warning you guys, a little Nalu moment coming up. Sorry this is this kind of story.)

"Natsu! I am going to get some fire wood now! K?"
" ya it's cool!" He is making dinner so he didn't even look my way.
As I walk off into the forest I find a flower path. So as curious as I am I followed it. That path lead me to an open field of beautiful fallen cherry blossom petals scattered on the ground. A path of rainbow cherry blossom trees where surrounding the meadow. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life.(A/N: it's the image up top. That is what the meadow looks like) I wanted to share my secret place, so I grabbed as many sticks as I could and left a trail of rocks so I do lose where I was. I made it back to Natsu and dropped the wood next to the fire with excitement.
"Natsu! You have to come see what I found and like now!" I started pulling on his hand.
"The foods going to get cold though!"
"Don't worry about the food just come along with me please!" I gave him my best puppy dog eyes.
"Oh alright, but it better be good!"
"Yay!!!!"
We both went down the path that I marked and the look on his face as we came to the meadow was priceless. I don't know why but it made my heart race to see him smiling.
"This place is amazing Lucy! It's like our own secret place!" He said as he ran around the meadow like a child seeing snow for the first time.
"Ya that's what I was thinking."
We played around in that meadow until the moon was high in the sky. We sat there and looked at the stars together.
"Say Lucy?"
"Ya Natsu?"
"What do you think of me?"
What kind of question is that?!
"Well you kind of an idiot at times but you are also very reliable and trustworthy and also kind very kind."
"Oh." That was all he said but I could tell from his eyes that he loved that answer.
"What about me? What do you think about me?"
I just asked to keep the conversation going. I know the answer. It's that I am selfish, boring, weak, and even stupid.
" I think you are amazing."
My eyes widened at his response. He never looked at me for that entire sentence. He then turned to me and just stared directly into my eyes. We stayed in that position for a good 10 minutes until he started to come closer and I saw in the corner of my eye that his hand was about to touch my cheek when I closed my eyes.
Nothing happened. I opened my eyes and he was back at looking at the stars. "Well it's late and we better get some sleep." He then got up avoiding eye contact. Despite his comment he had a slight blush on his cheeks. I could feel my face get hot and that is when I realized that I wanted to kiss Natsu.
"Ya ok... Good night Natsu"
We both went into our tents and went to sleep well at least he did. I couldn't sleep a wink. Just thinking about what could have happened and why was I so happy to have wanted to kiss him...

Well that's it for this chapter hope you guys liked it and I have been having family issues lately so to just get away from it, I will be writing this story more and updating a lot this week. Except for Friday and Saterday I will be gone. Soooo ya that's it! Comment, vote and follow me! Hehehe 😁
