"Are you proud of what you've become?" The school counselor, Mrs.Beatrice, asked from across the oak desk.
"Proud... of what I've become?" I repeated in disbelief. She nodded, wanting me to answer as I saw fit. "Answer me this first. What have I become?" For the first time since I had entered, she had no idea what to say.
"Well, uh... you've become a..." she paused looking for a way to explain me, "become a charming young lady, Yoru, but..." she looked carefully at me, not finishing her sentence.
"A what?" I asked calmly, If she wouldn't finish her sentence, I would do it for her. "A monster, a bully? What?!" I shouted angrily, slamming my hands down in frustration. "I became what they told me I was, have a problem? Go to the source. Go to those... student shaped devils" the last part came out as a whisper
I carefully walked out of the small office belonging to Mrs.Beatrice, and kept my head down passing the kids in the hall. The whispers from them echoed loudly as I passed, loud enough for me to hear but none of the teachers did. I ignored them, walking out of the school... I couldn't deal with classes today.
I made my way down a small pathway to the playground around the corner of my highschool. The swings were cold and my sweater hugged to my form in the wind, but I still sat there letting tears slip from my eyes silently.
"Excuse me miss," A warm hand touched my shoulder, turning me slightly to see a boy in one of my classes, "are you okay?" His face was contorted with concern. Bringing my hands to my puffy, tear-streaked cheeks, I stood up and wiped my eyes while nodding.
"Nathaniel, you can call me Nate" The guy held out his hand to me, "and you are?" He asked kindly.
I took his hand and shook it, "Yoru Ai, its a pleasure." His emerald eyes shown brightly in the dim lighting, meeting my crystal pink ones.
He smiled, not letting go of my hand. "Let's go somewhere!" He said excitedly dragging me along. I didn't refuse, and we ended up in front of an abandoned middle school. I began regretting following Nate as we entered the building, clutching his hand I braced myself for what I knew was coming next.
