Peace

Her emotions fuel her,
Burning right through.
Doubt turned to anger,
And from it fury grew.

Immersed in sadness,
Polluted by hate.
Still time to set it right,
To open up the gate.

Her mouth doesn't speak,
Her eyes don't see.
Actions seem so pointless,
Could words be the key.

Give it a go,
It's worth a try.
Compassion fills her,
Her anger seems to die.

Joyous memories,
Now plagued with guilt.
She lets down the walls,
The ones that she built.

She's been forgiven,
Happy at last.
Surrounded by loved ones,
Finally drops the mask.
