Help Has Arrived...Or has It?

Back at Alex's mansion

We ran up to the room the mirror was in. As soon as we walked into the room, we saw Molly in the mirror, just as she said she would be. But behind her was a man, he was standing there, with a serious look on his face. He was watching her. "Molly! Can you hear us?" Max said.

"Max, it's a mirror. I don't think she can." I said. But surprisingly, she answered back.

"Max!!!!! Yes, I can hear you guys. He's close. I don't think he knows where I went."

Oh Molly, I thought. If only you knew he was right behind you.

"Ahem." Max said.

"Max, don't say it." I warned.

But, Max being Max, he ignored me and said it anyway. "Molly, he's right behind you. I think you should run."

"Run where? Into Narnia? God knows what's between us and her. Another dimension maybe? Oh yeah, thats smart, tell the person we're trying to help to run God knows where. Then it'll be harder to get her back then it is now." I said sarcastically. "What an idiot." I muttered.

Then, as soon as I finished talking to Max, the man behind her grabbed her and begun dragging her backwards, into what I could now see was woods.

"Molly!" I yelled.

"Jump through the mirror." she said.

So, we jumped through the mirror.

We landed in what I think was mud. "This better be mud."I said.

Silence.

Jasmine decided to follow the footprints of the man who took Molly.

Twenty Minutes Later

"How can on man walk this far in twenty minutes?" Jasmine said.

"He's a ghost, Jas." I said.

"Yes, but isn't she heavy? Remember when we had that sleep over? She crushed me. I couldn't breathe." Jasmine said.

"Please." I scoffed. "She's at least 100 and something pounds."

Jasmine got quiet. I turned around to see Molly by herself. We ran up to her, only to be chased back by the man, this time with a gun.

His voice spoke. "She got away from me once. I'm not going to lose her again."

"What?" Max asked. "We're her friends."

"She had no friends. Her parents never let her have any, because they were paranoid." He said.

"What's your name?" Jasmine asked.

"Ben." He said.

"Ok, Ben. Who took her away the first time?" I asked.

"My brother, James. He married her, and killed her for no reason." Ben said.

"Wait. He killed her, so isn't she dead?" Max asked.

"The people of our town had a curse put on us. Immortality."

"Cool!" Max said. It was this that made Ben point the gun at us.

I turned to look for Molly, but didn't see her. Smart girl, I thought. Even though she makes some seriously dumb choices.

Then a shot rang out and a scream was heard.
