A Collection of Haikus

Hold me close, my dear,
Promise me you won't let go
And I'll sleep soundly.

Why did I trust you?
You only betrayed my heart
In the end. Traitor.

I just needed love
But you gave me such heartbreak,
That I died inside.

Your brown eyes burn holes
Into my soul and my heart;
Do you see it all?

Maybe if I cried
A river of silver tears
Then you'd know my pain.

You ask who hurt me,
Who broke my heart and my smile.
It was you, darling.

If I ever see
Your smug face again, ever,
My rage will not cease.

I hate and I love
All the things you've done to me
But do I love you?

I have made many
Mistakes, and they still haunt me.
You were my biggest.

Why do I write poems
That you will not ever read?
Are they meant for me?

You kill me, you thorn
That is buried in my heart,
You only bring pain.

Can I just forget
All of the time we have spent
Pretending to love?
