chapter 4: The day her hope died

the next morning was great for zena and tev. they talked almost all night, and played video games too. she woke up to tev sleeping on the floor with his god tier blanket. "hay,,,papyrus wake up" she shook him a bit to wake him up. "yo....whats up" he opened his eyes, and smiled "BREAKFAST MAN" she said back. they ran out of the room and saw that zena's mom had made them bacon, eggs and toast. after around ten minuets all the food was gone, they both discussed theory's for undertale, portal and of course Five night's at freddys. "there's a mall close by right?" tev asked, tev had only moved to the neighbourhood a few months ago, so he did not know the town well yet. "yep a five minuet walk....or ten if we walk slow" she suggested walking slow because they where both painfully full from breakfast. after a few moments they decided to go because they both had some money, tev was the first to get up, went to his bag and went to the bathroom to get changed. Zena got up a few moments later and went to her room, she locked the door, she put on an underfell t-shirt, blue jeans and her yellow shoes. before she unlocked her door, she felt different, like a feeling she never felt before, a pain in her stomach, and not like a pulsating pain, it was sharp. it was her pants, they where tight, she went to her dresser and grabbed a bigger pair of the same jeans and put them on. they fit perfectly, Zena unlocked her door and went to the front door, Tev was waiting for her at the door for her. as they left her home, Zena remembered her phone was on her bed, she ran inside and quickly grabbed it from her room and they both left the house.

they walked at a normal pace to the mall, letting out little burps, puns and laughs as they walked. Zena seemed very happy the entire time, But she was not really happy. "Z.....i wanted to ask about what you said last night, what did you mean about you will to live" Zena's smiled faded and she began to speak her darkness thoughts "i want to die....the life i live is meaningless, and why live it if i have no propose?" Tev understood everything she had said. "c-can we change the subject tev....please" Zena was almost begging for this conversation to stop,"y-yea....i hate to see you like that y'know?" Zena said nothing back, they both did not speak for a while. a few moments later they started to talk again and Zena was acting like nothing happened, and she smiled. right before the mall was in view her phone went off, it was her twitter account, her twitter was for roleplaying and she had been in a roleplay for around 5 days now. as she looked to the app her heart filled with a bit of joy knowing that someone wanted to talk to her. it was not the roleplay or the person she talks to about the roleplay but insted a tweet that had said " retweet this if this person is ugly" the picture was of her that was token a few days before. she looked at the retweet count, it was at 14. At this moment Zena broke, her head was ringing, the voices growing louder. "ZENA, IS EVERYTHING OK?!" tev was trying to her her attention, Zena looked up at him with tears in her eyes "i...i can't do this any-more...." He looked at her phone and saw the tweet. "Zena...dont listen to them...you are so pretty....on the inside and outside ok?!....i dont want you to do anything drastic ok?!" he had her in the biggest hug he could ever give someone. "c-can we just...head over to the mall.....its really close and i might help me feel better?" once more Zena's voice was very faint. "y-yea...hay maybe we will have a skeleton of fun!" Zena laughed at the joke he made, it was one of the only things that made her smile.

After around 2 hours, Zena felt happy and it was true happiness. they had bought a few PC games to play together when they got home, and a few plush toys. They went back to Zena's house to play the games they had just bought, Zena put her phone into her room and did not look at it for the rest of the day.
