Chapter 5: The escape root

After a few hourse, Tev decided to head back to his house for dinner, Zena waved goodbye to tev as he left her home. Zena decided to head to her room and work on her escape root. her portal to the V dimension, it was almost finished, all it needed was a few extra screws in the side. she looked everywhere for just three more screws, she eventualy found them in an old book lying on her chair. she put them into the oval shaped mouth of the portal. it was done. but she could not go in it yet, her parents where around she wold have to wait for monday. her parents where going on a week long vacation to the Bahamas, and that was the perfect time.

Zena woke up on monday, she was so exited, she was finally leaving her hell of a world behind her. she grabbed her bag and some breakfast "have fun guys, i love you" she said as she left her house. Tev was waiting for her at the front doors of the school, they both walked in and went to there lockers. since they both dont have the same classes, they both walked in different directions once the first bell rang. at around 11:20, Zena was starving, it was five minuets until lunch was in full swing, as soon as the bell rung, she ran out of her history class and ran to her locker. she put her bag and her books in it and grabbed her Don't starve themed wallet and went to grab a lunch. she had grabbed a soda and 3 slices of pizza for lunch, she ate the pizza on the way back to the school and sat on a rock under a tall oak tree, this was her favourite spot in school to sit in. at around 12:30 Zena grabbed her mini sketch pad from her pocket and began to draw papyrus, the guess who shows up? It was fred and his buddies "Why arn't you dead yet?" she gave him a confused look "excuse me?" she responded back. "Why don't you do us a favour a die" Zena was stuned, she had no words, they where asking for her dead...no wishing for it to happen. "HAY, DONT TALK TO HIM LIKE THAT!!" Zena looked over to who was screaming, it was Tev, he walked over to the rock and stood infrount of Zena " you mess with my brother....you mess with me, you understand me?" fred and his friends just laughed at him "What the hell are you going to do?" He said with a chuckle ".....nothing, but comfort him and tell him the truth" he looked like he was about to cry. "whatever....if shes her tomorrow...you both are going to pay" Fred and his friends walked off, zena got up from the rock and started to run home, it was time to leave, she had to leave. "HAY Z WAIT....P-PLEASE" tev chased after. as she got to her house, she noticed her parents car was gone, that means they where gone. she slammed the door open and ran to her room, tev ran in, he was out of breath, he walked to her room and opened the door, there was a slight glow under the door.

as he opened the door the white glow became brighter and brighter and brighter until it was the only thing he could see. the portal had worked. Zena's hands where touching someone else's and that thing, was pulling her in. Tev thinking quickly grabbed a wrench from her tool box and threw it at the portal, destroying it for good.
