She was tensed. After they had completed the epic task or the final task for the Leading Astronaut competition she was tensed not for her but for him. Her Randhir. He was not well she could see that after that task. She sat on the bench near the lab but her mind was drifted to him. He was ill and no one was there to take care of him. She remembered all the moments, when she had taken care of him, sitting right beside him. But today everything was changed. He was not her Randhir though much it pained to know that she had to accept. But her conscious was telling something else. Though he was not hers anymore she wanted to run to him, care for him.

After debating for more than a minute she stood up right to walk upto him. No matter he denied it, she cannot that she still care for him. Walking up to his room she saw that it was slightly ajar so she peeked inside to check him. Her face fell a bit on seeing Sanaya taking care of him. Though she was a bit hurt but she was happy that he still had someone to take care of him. She smiled at least he had someone now.

Sanaya stared at his sleeping form. He was her best friend but she had feelings for him but she knew he still loved Sanyukta. He will only love her. She dipped the cloth in the water bowl beside her and then her sight landed to Sanyukta as she turned.

"Umm...Sanaya is he fine?" Sanyukta spoke in a small voice so that she should not wake him up.

"Hah...hey Sanyukta umm...can you be there while I go to washroom?" Sanaya asked her and before Sanyukta could reply she ran inside for the washroom.

She inhaled deeply on seeing him and then walked upto his bed. She sat on the chair in front of him. She placed the wet cloth on his forehead and caressed his hair. He stirred a bit in his sleep. She placed her hand on his forehead while he removed her hand and snuggled it up to his chest. She tried to remove from his hold but he held tightly.

She stopped her attempt and saw him. He was like a lost children. So much of innocent and manipulated by others. She looked at her hand that was snuggled up to him. Unknowingly a tear slipped out of her eye. He still affected her, she still cared for him.

As her fingers traced his jaw he opened his eyes and squinted to the bright eyes. He glanced at her and stilled. She was here to take care of him. He did not let her hand go.

"Mhmh...why are you here Sanyukta? " He asked her struggling with his voice. Happy would be an understatement to express. She was there for him. To care of him.

"Umm...aaa....Sanaya hah she's told me to be there until she's free" Sanyukta lied not daring to look at him. He could easily read her eyes.

Disappointment was evident on his face. She was there for Sanaya. He cleared his throat.

"No need of you Sanyukta. Sanaya is there for me" his words were sharp and cold.

"Yes Randhir she is there for you. Ah....well I should not be in between you two"

She turned her back so that he could not see the tears forming in her eyes. He stared at her back, she was lying. She was here for him he should know that before because she turned her back to stop her tears.

"Sanyukta you know you are still not a good liar" his words made her halt in mid step. He knew her too well back in the college and even now. Without thinking anything she rushed into his arms as his back was supported to the headboard. He smiled at the action thinking that maybe this was last time his mind was playing tricks. Think so fever affected his brain he thought.

"You should ...take care of...of your...self Randhir. Loo..k at yo...urself. Why do you...do this? Who...will take..care of you? " she started to speak in between her cries. He was patting her back like a child.

"You are there for me Sanyukta. I know" He pulled her more closer to his chest. He was enjoying the feeling of her in his arms.

While listening this the poor soul behind the door controlled her sobs.
