Prologue
Perfection, define perfection.
Flawlessness? Faultlessness?
Sometimes, perfection can be the exact opposite of these.
Perfection for me isn't something that is flawless, faultless, or the like. It's something that you can achieve by embracing all your flaws, accepting and learning from your faults, and suppressing them for the best.
Confusing isn't it?
I know, I was perplexed at the start, too. Mind you, I thought of life as a fairytale. Everything goes good, everything falls perfectly into place, and everything ends happily, but I was wrong.
Reality check, and you'll figure out what I'm saying.
Needless to say, I quit fantasizing and averted myself into books. Books were my only escape from harsh reality. It has been years of living in the school's library and focusing on my studies.
No one appreciates bookish people. Yes, I'm boring, that's who I am.
Deep inside, I know that I have a passion for singing, too, and no one would appreciate that, for sure.
One day, I'll be looking back, and I'd be smiling at how all of my imperfections molded me into becoming successful.
With all that said, the perfect life for me is that of which I can read without worries of the cruel society outside books, I can sing without getting scared and I can smile back at my past. Too achieve that, I know I'd be sacrificing a lot, and I hope I won't regret it.
And love, it can wait. I just have to put faith in myself and believe this will all be worth it.
