Behold a new chapter where we see the some peace for a while. Until he's thrust nose deep into a whole mess of trouble. Also I don't know if this is good but this chapter is rated T for blood. Also I've been feeling really down lately

I do not own the Paw Patrol. They belong to NickJr.

I do own Chrono and the other wolves.

Chapter six: Storms Edge

Chrono's POV

I laid on the grass on my back staring up at the cloudy sky, as my thoughts were in a complete mess. Its been two days since I got that strange message in my dreams. I was still shocked from the fact that I could stop time, it didn't help that I ran into a bunch of wolves trapped in time and only I can see them. I can't say anything to Ryder or the other pups because they'll just think I'm crazy. And then there's the last thing that annoys me; my whole life could be a lie because my mom may be one of the time wolves. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt something bounced off of my head. I rolled over onto my belly to see a volley ball, as I looked over it to see Marshall and Chase running over.

As they ran, Marshall tripped over tumbling into Chase sending them straight all three of us into the ground. I groaned as I crawled from under the two pups as Marshall got up to grab the ball. "Hey Chrono, wanna play with us?" Marshall asked as Chase got up off of me.

"No thanks, I'm kind of tired anyway." I lied as I started to lay back down. I tried not to go to sleep due to the fact it could be a nightmare or a bombshell.

Chase's POV

I noticed Chrono's behavior hasn't been as cheerful as it was in the past few days. He barely sleeps unless he's really tired, and he's been sleeping outside the dog house everytime he's tired. I was snapped out of my thought's when Marshall nudged me.

"Hey Chase, have you noticed Chrono hasn't been himself the last couple of days?" Marshall whispered so Chrono couldn't hear.

"Yeah, plus he's been really tired lately." I whispered back.

"Should we ask him what's wrong?" Marshall suggested.

"Yeah, it would at least relax him a bi-" I was cut off by the sound of soft snoring as Marshall and I turned to see Chrono sleeping. He had a tired look on his face as he clutches his tail for comfort. I walked over to him and just as I was about to place a paw on his head he starts to yipe in fear, waking up abruptly to see me looking at him. "Uh, hey you oka-" Chrono cut me off before I could finish.

"I'm fine, I think I'm going to get something to eat." Chrono walked into the Lookout. I looked to Marshall confused who merely shrugged mirroring my confusion.

Chrono's POV

I sighed as I plopped on the bean bag chair, silently whimpering until I heard the front doors slide open. I turn to see Chase walk in, with a worried expression on his face. "Hey Chase," I weakly smiled trying to cover up sorrow.

"Chrono are you okay?" Chase asked placing a paw on my back.

"Yeah, I'm just tired. I barely got any sleep last night." I tried to flash a small smile but Chase could see right through it.

"Chrono if something is troubling you just say so." As Chase went on I looked behind him and saw something shocking, making my pupils shrink. It was or what looked like a female version of me with white fur grinning at me mischievously and waving her paw at me mockingly. "Chrono!" I held my ears as Chased bellowed at me.

"I'm right here." I rubbed one of my ears in soreness.

"Well you may be here, but your mind certainly isn't." Chase replied as I looked behind him to find that the pup was gone. "Chrono if something is bothering you just tell me. I'm a friend." And say what, hey Chase guess what you were right about the fact I was a dog, because coincidentally I'm the pup of a bunch of Time Wolves who think I look like my mother. Yeah maybe I can also tell you about the ten to thirteen years I possibly spent as a human.

"Relax Chase, I'm perfectly fine." I smiled, lying through my teeth.

"Okay, still my offer is open." Chase gave me a hug, which felt nice. He left the room, leaving me alone as I hung my head in sorrow. 'Maybe I should tell him?' I thought as I laid down on the beanbags, and tried to stay awake. I almost fell asleep until the sound of thunder shocked me awake, as I look around in fear. I saw the entire Lookout completely destroyed, causing my shock to widen as I heard the sound of growling. I turned to see the Shadow pack, with their fur stained with blood. I saw one of them had Rocky's vest which was covered in blood.

"What did you do?" I asked whimpering, as Storm walked up to me.

"Oh don't worry. You see, we won't send you where they are now." Storm ripped off my collar as he held it up. "Enjoy being just a shadow!" I instantly screamed as I woke up to see Chase standing over me. I whimpered and hug Chase crying, as he hugged me back.

"Chase, it was awful! The wolves, the blood, the lookout, everything!" I whimpered as he pats my back to comfort me.

"Everything's fine, Chrono. It was just a bad dream." Chase reassured as I looked at him.

"Chase, I have something to tell you. I just want you to believe me even if it sounds fake." I trembled as Chase looks me in the eyes.

"Chrono, you can tell me anything." Chase smiled as I felt more at ease. I started to explain, the wolves, the dreams, everything, he looked shock at first but yet he understood.

"And that's why I've been sleepy lately. I didn't want to have any bad dreams." I looked down. "And you don't believe me do you?"

"Actually, I do. Why would you make this up for any reason. I believe you." Chase held me close as I sighed with relief. "You have to tell the others about thi-"

"No. Because they'll just easily reject this just like how you rejected I was human when we met." I cut him off. "I need a little time before I can tell them about what I'm going through." Chase nods.

"Alright, but eventually you'll have to tell them." Chase concluded as I let out a small yawn. "I think you should get some rest though. If you have a bad dream I'll try to make sure you sleep well tonight."

"Thanks Chase. I'm just glad I told someone this." I smiled at him as we walked out of the lookout.

Sorry for the delays in this. And sorry for it being so short, I've been depressed for a whole month, and my mom just got out of surgery.
