Chapter two: Time to meet the Paw Patrol

Chrono's POV

I opened my eyes to see I was in a broken down house. Broken glass from windows, and bottles littered the floor around me. A table in front of me was broken in two by a support beam, as a black substance was on the table. I looked at my body and saw I was still a pup, only there were no bandages on me. I heard crying coming from another room and began to walk towards the source. As I walked close to the source, I felt a hand grab my leg. Before I could turn to see who it was, I was lifted up by my leg and slammed into the wall. I groaned as I fell to the ground hard, I heard one of my bones crack. I opened my eyes, to see a dark black-skinned creature that looked human. It began to walk closer, causing me to back away from it in fear. When I kept backing up, I got pulled down and began to fall.

I opened my eyes, to see that I fell out of bed. I heard the sound of footsteps, followed by the door creaking open. I looked up to see it was Ryder, he had a small smile on his face.

"Bad dream?" Ryder asked as he picked me up. All I could do was nod in fear. That wasn't just a bad dream it was a nightmare. I hoped that I never went back to that place. "Well, before you meet the Paw Patrol, I think we should give you a bath."

Okay, I don't smell that bad, do I? I sniffed at my paw, pulling back in disgust. Maybe I should take a bath before meeting anyone else today. As Ryder walked, I looked around to see the room we were walking through. It was a colorful room, with a few bean bag chairs. and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. There was a huge elevator in the center of the room. Ryder opened a door, and began to walk down a few steps before walking into another room. It was a garage filled with a few tires, a few boxes and a red ATV in the center. Ryder placed me on the bike, as he looked through one of the boxes till he pulled out a helmet. It was light red with a white stripe through the center. On the stripe were the words PAW Patrol, and the A in Paw had a paw print through it.

'This PAW Patrol must be important.' I thought as Ryder picked me up again. He sat down on the bike and started its engine. Wait, is he old enough to drive a vehicle? He doesn't look more than ten. Ryder pressed a button turning on the bike causing the garage door to open. As soon it was fully open Ryder drove out of the garage and into the driveway.

Okay, so far this kid can drive a motorized vehicle, that's not the least surprising thing since I'm a human in a wolf pup's body. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Ryder pulled up to a purple building. It had a sign with a cat and a dog together, along with a few flowers in the front. I was picked up by Ryder as he took off his helmet and walked into the building.

The inside of the building looked like vet clinic, with a few dog bathtubs. A table with a neat stack of towels, next to it was a few pet shampoo and body wash. I soon notice a girl by the age of ten brushing a light lavender cat. The girl had blonde hair with a red hair band with two pink hearts, with a pink and purple striped shirt, blue short pants and blue shoes. The girl looked up to see Ryder and me.

"Hey Ryder, I see the wolf pup is up and well." the girl smiled as she walked over, and began to pet my head. I couldn't help but smile at the touch of her soft hand.

"Yeah, I came to get him a bath and to see if his burns are healed up at least." Ryder smiled at the girl.

"Um, nice to meet you." I smiled at the girl a little shy in my voice. "My name is Chrono."
