Chapter 14

I let out a sigh before moving slightly away from her to look into her eyes. "It's in the past and can't be changed. What really matters to me now is keeping you safe." 

A soft smile appears on her face as she slowly leans forward, myself following her lead until our lips meet in chaste kiss.

A warm feeling over takes me and an idea pops into my head.

Drawing back slowly I speak. "Let's go to the mountain like I promised. If we go now we can make it back in time for you to get some sleep." She shoots another smile my way before standing and holding her hand out towards me.

I silently take it into my own before she turns around to give me some privacy to get my clothes back on before carefully picking her up bridal style and taking my leave of the hut.

As I run I'm almost certain she understands that this mountain idea was a way of getting off the dark topics we were talking about before and I'm truly grateful that she agreed for my sake.

Running at top speed I'm thankful that the rain decided to stop, giving us a chance to go on our own adventure together.

I reach the mountain top in a half hour flat and lightly put Kagome back on her feet in front of me. It doesn't take her long to venture to the edge of the mountain longing to see what view was held before her.

I follow her lead and can't help but smile at her stunned reaction.

Even though it's the middle of the night you can still see the moon reflecting off the river below and the glow of slowly dying fires coming from the many huts located around said river. "It's beautiful InuYasha."

Kagome whispers as she wraps her arms around one of mine.

I silently move my arm and lightly grasp one of her hands before leading her down the mountain and to the river below.

When we arrive she slowly let's go of my hand to look me in the eyes. "Let's go swimming." She states rather boldly.

I let out a little laugh. "Right now?" She nods. "Turn around." I shot her a confused look but do as I'm told. 

I can hear her rustling behind me for a few second before hearing a loud splash. Quickly spinning on my heels I see her head emerge from the river, a wide smile across her face. 

"Come on! The water is lovely!" She giggles before disappearing under the water again.

My stomach does a nervous flip before I hastily rip off my clothes and jump into the river with her.

I swim towards her as her hands eagerly reach for me from beneath the water.

Our bodies meet and we pull each other impossibly close to one another, our naked bodies flush against each other's, fitting perfectly.

Her eyes meet mine as she raises one hand to stroke my cheek softly.

My body reacts without my consent as I feel her soft breasts pushing against my chest.

Feeling slightly embarrassed under her gaze I turn to look away but am stopped as her hand stroking my face turns my gaze back to her dark lust filled eyes.

 "InuYasha, I want you. I want you in a way I've never wanted a man before."

 A low growl escapes me and I curse myself for getting excited so quickly.
