I had the same teacher as Kian, who was now in eight grade. He still tutors me, and we've kind of became closer then I was with Oliver, who I still dearly miss. Kian makes me feels safe,  and Oliver didn't do that.

"Welcome to fifth grade, Tyler!" My teacher, Ms. Falberg told me, smiling.

I smiled back and made my way to my assigned seat. I sat by a girl, whose name was Avery. She looked over at me and started smiling. "Oh, hey I know you! You're my cousin's boyfriend!"

I looked at her, shocked. I didn't know he had told people, and I didn't know she was his cousin!

I stuttered back, "Y-yeah! He's so nice. You're so lucky to have him as a cousin!"

We both laugh, and before she can talk back, Ms. Falberg bolts in. "Alright class!" she yells, "Today, we are going to play some "Get to know you" games! Sound fun?"

Most of the class groans, but Avery and I don't. I felt like I had found someone that accepted me, and someone who could be there for me.

When I got home, I got on my laptop and started texting Avery.

Ty_Ty (Me) : Hey best friend 😊

AveryH10 : Heyy 😘

Ty_Ty (Me) : Wyd?

AveryH10 :  Nm, just eating dinner . hbu?

AveryH10 :  Hey, my Madre is calling me. text ya later!

Ty_Ty (Me) : bye

It was something about talking to her that made me feel wanted, accepted. I had never met someone like that, and she was the person I was searching for.

"Come downstairs Ty!" My mom yelled.

I shut my laptop and walked downstairs. I had forgot it was Monday, and Kian was t the door. Major deja vu hit because it felt like three years ago on my birthday, when he started tutoring.

"How's my favorite fifth grader doing?" he asked in his skater boy voice, which I absolutely loved.

"Great! I also have Ms. Falberg, like you did." I reply, smiling.

He laughs and says, "Yeah, I know, Avery told me.

We both walk up stairs as I go and get my books, pencils, and binders.

"You won't be needing those today, Tyler!" He says.

I know what he's doing, he's going to kiss me! Well, I hope. I set my things down and make my way to the bed. He pulls me toward him, and our lips touch. I can feel a spark light between us, and I don't want it to end. He stops after like ten seconds. I smile and he smiles back.

"I really love you Tyler, I really do. Don't ever forget that!" He exclaims, which makes me feel whole. We do study, but just a little. I'm in aw by his embrace. We kiss a little more, and before I know it, it's time for him to leave.

After he leaves, I plop myself onto the bed, and I fall asleep, smiling.

TIME JUMP

When I got to school today, a bunch of kids from the middle school came to help out with our field day. I spotted Kian, who was helping with Ms. Falberg and our class. I caught up with him, but I was suddenly pushed down by a bunch of middle schoolers.

One called out, "Hey fag, get yourself a girlfriend!"

Another on said, "If you like boys, you should just kill yourself"

One tear rolls down my face as Kian hurries to pick me up. "Don't worry," he says, "They do that to me everyday at school. You'll get used to it."

I smile. He makes me smile so much.

After field day, my mom checked me out early because I had a doctors visit. I had to get my flu shots, which was fine with me. When we were sitting in the waiting room, I got a voicemail from an unknown number.

"Hey dude, It's me, that kid at field day that told you to kill yourself. Hey have you done it? Ugh, you fags are polluting are earth with disgusting life styles. Go get a damn-" I cut it off, because I have had enough. I slam my phone onto the ground, cracking it. I bolt out of the room, as my mom chases me.

"Honey, we're supposed to wait 30 minutes before leaving. But we can go home. What's the matter sweety?" She asks.

I walk in front of her. "You!" I yell, "You and those freaks who think liking someone f the same gender is wrong. It's not, and if you don't see that, then fine. I hate you!"

She looks in disgust, "I can't have a homo living in my house. You're moving in with your grandparents. I knew it all along. That Kian kid, should've never let him over."

When I get home, I pack my things and leave. I don't look back, because it was the worst place to ever be. When I left, I tried to hold back tears, but it was to hard. I was taken to my lonely place.
