After being in the hospital for a few weeks, I was able to go back home. Daphine had to stay for another month, because of her punctured lung they were still treating. My mom took me home that day, which was the worst idea ever.
"Tyler?" she asked, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure ma!" I reply.
She pulls into the driveway, "Are you still, you know, gay?" she asks.
"Yes, mom, I'm still, okay, what is it with you and always wanting to know this?" I yell, quite annoyed.
She begins to breathe heavily and angered, "Now don't you get that tone with me son. I'm the one who caried you in the womb and I did not expect that child to be a fag. I regret giving birth to you!"
I don't even talk back to her. I get out of the car, slam the door, and get my belongings out of the trunk of her Ford.
"Bye!" I yell at her.
When I get inside, I set my things down and get into the shower. I sit in there for an hour at most, before getting dressed and heading back to the hospital to see Oliver.
When I get to the hospital, I start to get nervous. I can feel more than a million butterflies in my stomach. When I get to his room, I smile, because Craig isn't there.
"Hey, Oliver!" I say, smiling.
He sits up, "Hey bro, sorry about last time. It was just Craig was here!"
"It's alright," I tell him, "He seems pretty chill"
We both chuckle a little, and then we hear a knock on the door. It's Craig.
"Hey, Tyler, I'm sorry about last time, and when I punched you." He says.
"It's alright, you were just protecting your husband!" I reply.
He walks over to Oliver and kisses him on the lips.
"I love you!" he tells Oliver.
"I love you too, babe!" Oliver tells him.
Craig and I shake hands, "So Oliver, when do you get to go home?"
"Tomorrow!" He happily clarifies.
I smile, "Well, do you want to hang out tomorrow, the three of us?"
"Sounds fun!" The say in unison.
I wave goodbye and leave Oliver my number. I leave the hospital, smile on my face. I'm happiest I had ever been.

The next day was Avery's funeral. I attended because she was a true best friend, only side tracked by Reid's lies.
The eulogy speaker walks up to the potium, "We are gathered here to remember the life of Avery Joy Smith, a friend to all. She was a great wife, daughter, and friend. We remember the good times, and the bad ones, and the okay. She never hated anyone, and accepted everyone to meet. A true, kind person, life swept away at only 40."
While everyone sheds tears and is sobbing, I am frozen is anger. She didn't want to kill me, and she wasn't. My sister didn't know though, which is why she was hurt.
I get up, halfway through the funeral, and leave. "Goodbye Avery, I'll miss you", I say, looking up to the sky.
