AVERY'S POV

I slam my car door shut, as I watch him fall to the ground and cry like a baby. I have him in the right spot. It won't be long until I'm back, and I'll finish what my cousin started. Kiss your life goodbye Tyler.

When I get home, I set my purse on the counter in the kitchen and made my way to the family room. I plopped myself onto my green, ikea sofa as Richard walked in, only wearing his boxers I got him for Christmas last year.

"Hey babe," he says as he kisses my forehead.

Richard's my husband. We married 16 years ago, and surprisingly are still together. What I mean is that we have gotten some fights, but somehow gotten through them, together.

"Hi honey, good morning!" I reply, chuckling.

He walks to the kitchen and opens the fridge. He grabs the eggs and makes me cheese and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

"Thank you!" I say as he hands them to me.

I take my time to eat because I want to saver every bite. "Yum!" I tell him with my mouth full of cheese.

He laughs and replies, "Thanks."

He leaves for work after that and I sit only in my bedroom. I hear a knock at the door and I know exactly who it could be. I open the door, and it is who I thought it was.

"I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I brought you flowers." Tyler tells me as I invite him in.

I look at him, "It's fine bud. All's good. Here, sit down, let me fix you some coffee."

He sits down on the love seat as I fix him some coffee. "Is this your husband?" he asks.

"Yes, it is. His names Richard. We've been married for sixteen years!" I call out.

"You have any children?" He asks.

"No, but we're adopting soon!" I tell him.

"That's good!" He says.

By this time I am done with his coffee. I turn on the TV and watch Lifetime.

"Avery, I have a question!" He tells me.

I reply, rubbing my thighs, "Alright, what is it."

"I still have feelings for Oliver, and I wish he never had gotten married. Is that weird?" he asks me.

I tell him, "No, it's not! I felt the same way about my ex boyfriend. When I moved for a couple years, he got a wife. I was so flipping pissed I wanted to kill him. He died in a car crash, because he was drunk. He killed an old guy, name was Andrew Kingston I believe."

His eyes widen as he tells me, "That was my grandfather."

"Oh, I'm sorry." I tell him.

"It's alright," he says, sighing, "Not everyone's perfect!"

I shrug my shoulders. "Well, what do you want to catch up on?" I ask.

"How was college?" He asks.

"I didn't go." I tell him, "I work at O'charley's as a waitress, and Richard's a banker. Have you thought of getting a job?"

He shakes his head.

"Well I can get you one at the restaurant!" I happily tell him.

"Okay, thanks Avery! It was great talking to you, and thanks for the coffee. I better get going, I have to help my mom move today. Goodbye!" He tells me.

As I watch him drive off, I laugh, knowing that this could be his last day.

TYLER'S POV

It didn't take long to leave the nursing home from Avery's. It was only like 2 miles away. When I got there, I hugged my mom and kissed my grandma on the cheek.

"How's my sweet Tyler doing!" she tells me.

"Alright grandma! How's it going?" I ask.

"Well, being 90 years old is fun. But I do miss your grandpa. He was a great man." She tells me.

I hug her and tell her, "I miss grandpa too."

After I bring in everything, I say goodbye and head back home. On my way, I'm stopped at a red light, and when I look in my rearview mirror, I see someone. It's Craig, Oliver's husband. I panic, but not much. He follow me home, when I open my door, he pulls me out the car.

"You are just like them boys aren't you. Trying to get back with your ex's after you moved on. Yeah? Yeah." He grunts as he punches me. The neighbors rush to my aid, but surprisingly don't call the police.

"Thank you!" I tell them, but they just go back to their usual buisness.

When I got back into the house, I saw had gotten a text from Avery:

Avery Gliss: Hey, um, those flowers you got me, yeah, I'm allergic. Thanks anyway.

I felt so bad, so I texted her back:

Tyler Kingston: I'm so, so sorry! I'll send you a gift card to make it up!

I set my phone down and walk up stairs. When I open the door to my room. A man no taller than 7' is sitting on my bed.

"Hello Tyler!" the mysterious man tells me, "How's it been. Remember me? Yeah, it's me."
