Chapter 1: New Kid

A year before...

"Okay class, so I'd like you all to welcome your new classmate who came all the way from Japan, she's going to introduce herself in the front so I want you all to keep quiet and listen." Ms. Dahyun stated giving me a nod and then motioning her hand to the front.

I stood up from the chair I sat on besides her earlier and slowly started to walk my way to the front, I roamed my eyes around the room, which resulted into me gulping when I saw the large audience in front of me.

Sweat started trickling down my forehead due to my nervousness, but I decided to ignore it and introduce myself.

"Uhmm, h-hello! My name is Jenna, I'm 17, half Japanese and half Korean. It's very nice to meet you all, please be nice to me!" I said to them before giving them a nervous smile then bowing 90 degrees.

"That's nice to know dear, do you have any hobbies?" Ms. Dahyun asked as she gave me her sweetest smile.

"Uhmm, I like carving fruits and vegetables to unique shapes. if that's a hobby." I said laughing nervously, the whole class' chitter chatter silenced down as some of them started giving me weird stares.

"Okay... Well that's Jenna, now everyone give a round of applause for her." Ms. Dahyun said.

The silence was finally broken as the room got surrounded with the sounds of whistling and claps. I took my bag from the floor and started walking towards them, finding a place where I could sit.

I passed through the front row, there was no way I was going to sit there, not because of the fact that I would look like a nerd but because I would easily get caught dozing off.

I decided to sit at the last row instead, there was only one vacant seat available, on the right side was a window that showed off the school's garden while on the left side was a boy.

I arrived at the seat and plopped my bag to the space next to it, taking the stuff I needed from my bag, a notebook and a pen.

I started jotting down the notes Ms. Dahyun was writing on the board when suddenly my pen flew away and dropped on the ground.

I tried reaching for it even though I couldn't because of these short arms of mine. I was about to get up and grab it when my seatmate spoke.

"Here, let me get it." He said as he reached for the ball pen, grabbed it and placed it on my hand, shaking it right afters with the pen between our palms.

"My name's Jungkook. Nice meeting you." He said, smiling at me showing off his cute bunny teeth.

I didn't reply, instead I stared at him in awe.

He had brown eyes that casted off a mysterious vibe, pouty lips, pointed nose, skin that glowed even though he was pale, messy black hair that looked soft and fluffy, kind of like a pillow, he looked nice, well nice is an understatement, he looked handsome.

"A picture lasts a lot longer you know!" he said showing off a devilish smirk when he caught me staring.

The class started to chuckle after they heard Jungkook's statement, only making Ms. Dahyun hush them and forced them to go back to their work.

I blushed at his gesture out of embarrassment, and thought that it would be better off to ignore him.

Jungkook just kept on staring at me till the end of class, and everytime I caught him he'd just smirk evilly, and I'd blush in return.

*RINGGGG*

The bell rang, which meant that it's finally time for recess. I placed the stuff on my table back to my bag, picked it off from the floor and placed it on my back.

I turned around to see the class was almost empty, Jungkook was no longer around too.

"Hey Jenna!" a girl voice piped at my back.

I turned around to see who was talking, it was a petite girl, she had flaming red hair tied up into a messy bun, and wore a floral dress which was above the knee and doll shoes.

"My name is Jihyo, and I was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch with me and my friends?" she asked while smiling at me, she seemed nice and sweet, she looked like the kind of person that couldn't even hurt a fly.

"Uh sure, I guess. Haha, I mean I don't know anyone around here yet." I replied before smiling back, she looked shocked at my response which made her grab my wrist "If that's the case then come on, I'm going to introduce you to all my friends!" She answered before dragging me along to the cafeteria.

We arrived at the lunch table, and there I saw two more girls waiting for our arrival.

"Hello everybody!" Jihyo stated "I want all of you to meet Jenna, she's a new student here."

"Hi Jenna, I'm Hyuna, nice to meet you." she said and smiled at me after we shook hands.

Hyuna had curly dark brown hair, she was wearing a black leather jacket and had heavy make up on, cat-eye eyeliner, dark matte lipstick, smokey eyes, her appearance screamed badass.

I smiled at Hyuna and then turned my attention to the girl besides her.

"Sana, nice meeting you." she smiled before turning her attention back to her laptop.

Sana was different, she had blonde hair that was until her shoulders, she wore glasses and had simple clothes on. Shirt, pants and then converse. Kind of like what I was wearing, the only difference was I wore a skirt instead of pants.

"So that's them, I hope we can all be friends." Jihyo said smiling before taking her seat, nudging me to take the seat besides her.

"Yeah, and don't try anything bad on us, you don't wanna know what'll happen to you if you do." Hyuna threatened then smirked evilly, making goosebumps rising up my body.

Jihyo kicked her under the table, making her shush.

"Don't mind her she was just joking." Jihyo said before giving me a reassuring smile.

"Yeah... Just joking." Hyuna said rolling her eyes at Jihyo.

"Can we just eat now?!" Sana exclaimed, making us join her in eating the disgusting cafeteria food in front of us.

I had a fun time chatting with them, however,

I couldn't push back the 'joke' Hyuna said earlier, was it really a joke or was it true? I wondered. Ignoring my thoughts, I went back to eating and started to happily chat with them again.
