Chapter 5: Science Class

jeomjeom ppajyeoyo. You're so fantas-" I immediately slammed my hand on the alarm clock, interrupting the sounds it was playing.

I quickly arose from my bed and placed my hand on my mouth as I gave out a big yawn, my mouth widening a lot that even a horse could fit in it.

Taking a glance at the clock besides me, I realized it was 6:00AM, I had to be at school by 7:00AM.

Grabbing my planner out of my bag, I checked what I had set for the day, written on the top was September 27, 1998, Wednesday. Below was the list of things I had to do for the day, go to school, clean the house and do the project assigned by Sir Jaebum.

After reading what was written I placed the planner back to my bag and quickly did my morning routine, after everything was done I glanced at the clock to see what time it is again, 6:45 AM.

I made my way downstairs, and started to eat my breakfast which was arugula and pistachio pesto quiche made by my personal chef named Jose, just kidding, I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich which was messily made by yours truly.

After eating breakfast, I swung my bag on my shoulders and exited the door, making sure to lock it before leaving. I live alone, while my family lives their boring lives at Japan.

The only reason why I came here to Korea was because I wanted some thrill in my life, something that would give me an adrenaline rush, something that would make me scream! I was unsatisfied with the simple everyday life I had back home. So I thought maybe moving countries would bring me the things I wanted to experience.

It was a 10 minute walk to school, meaning that I made it right on time, I grabbed my books from my locker and checked my schedule to see what class I had, Science with Ms. Dahyun.

I walked my way to class and sat at my assigned seat, the one next to the window and Jungkook.

The room slowly started to fill in with people and as soon as the bell rang, Ms. Dahyun entered as if it was her cue, Jungkook and six other boys following after her.

Ms. Dahyun walked up to the front and the boys started to go their separate ways to their assigned seats.

"Good Morning!" Ms. Dahyun announced sweetly. We replied with a 'good morning' in a monotonous voice which made her frown a bit.

"Well someone's haven't had their breakfast." She said giggling as she took out a piece of paper from her bag.

"Okay so for today's activity I am going to give you a word that is related to Science and you are going to describe it for me. Understood?" She announced, we nodded our heads and mumbled a 'yes' as a reply to her question.

"Let's start withhh~ Min Yoongi." She said before pointing at a boy who was currently dozing off, making all the eyes go to his direction, his seatmate woke him up and quickly explained the situation to him, making the boy stand up.

"It's Suga." The boy replied, rolling his eyes at the teacher who woke him up from his nap. Ms. Dahyun smiled at him before replying "Okay Yoongi... What is Carbon Dioxide?" making the little boy groan.

"It's the thing we breathe out and then the plants take it and make it into oxygen, some shit like that." Yoongi said before sitting back down and once again dozing off.

"Okay that was correct, but please refrain yourselves from cursing." Ms. Dahyun stated as her eyes roamed the room, searching for another person to pick.

"Taehyung!" She exclaimed pointing at a boy who was currently balancing his ballpen on the top of his lips, he immediately stood up and looked at the teacher respectfully.

"What is Lithium?"

"It's a soft, silver-white metal that belongs to the alkali metal group of chemical elements." Taehyung quickly answered before smiling back at Ms. Dahyun and took his seat.

"Very good Taehyung! Okay last one for the day!" Ms. Dahyun stated before roaming her eyes once again. "Jimin!" She said this time pointing at the boy I met yesterday.

"What is sodium hydroxide?"

"All I know is that if you don't want your hands to get caught by the cops then all you need is sodium hydroxide to dissolve a corpse." He said, an evil vibe shining off him, as he took his seat, the whole class silencing because of his answer, tension slowly building up in the room.

"Where did you learn that from?" Ms. Dahyun asked, her joyful face turning into a serious one.

Jimin shrugged at her, later replying "Doctor Who" making the whole class erupt into laughter excluding me and Jimin.

"Oh I thought you were a serial killer for a second." Ms. Dahyun replied, joining the laughter of her students.

"Well that's all for the day, class dismissed." Ms. Dahyun said as we arose from our seats and started tidying up, I heard Jimin mumble something but I couldn't really decipher what he was saying.

"Ahhhh!" Someone said, it sounded like the noise you'd make when you stretch after a rest. I turned my head to see that it was Jungkook.

"Were you sleeping through the whole class?" I asked him, he looked like he didn't really had any sleep. Poor bunny.

"Yup, I didn't get some shut eye last night." He replied before stretching once more

"See you later, Jenna." He said, getting his bag and walking up to Jimin, Yoongi, Taehyung and three more boys who's names I didn't know.

I started to walk my way out of class when suddenly I felt someone tug my shirt.

"Jennaaa~" A girl's voice piped, I turned to the direction of the voice and saw that it was Jihyo.

"Snacks?" She asked smiling, I nodded back at her as a reply, making her drag my arm to the cafeteria once again.
