Chapter 17: Walk Home

I gazed my eyes upon the dark streets in front of me, walking past the tall lightbulbs who flicker its shine amongst the pavements making it switch from bright to dim in a span of a few seconds.

The stars didn't shine as bright as they used to, it was a gloomy night which coincidentally matched my spirits.

' I'm confused, lost, distraught... No words can describe how much of a mess my mind is right now. ' I thought

I tug on a little harder on to the coat Jiyong handed me earlier as I feel the harsh cold breeze getting stronger, attacking my skin with its uncomfortable chill.

' Just a few more blocks until I reach home... ' I said to myself as I started swaying the plastic bag I held in my shivering hand, the sound of my dirty clothes shuffling breaks the silence which surrounded the atmosphere.

I thought about what happened, about Jiyong, about Sagittarius, I was getting anxious. I could feel a pair of eyes watching me as I made another step, as I took another breath, I didn't feel safe in these streets, I wanted to run, I needed to hide, I was getting worried until...

*beep*

Jungkook: "Aigooo! Jenna please help me at my homework, my brain's about to explode :O huhu, hurry back home and help me pleaseee~ :c "

I chuckled, the fear vanished, my worries disappeared by just a single silly text, my face was illuminated by the screen's brightness which made the smile I wore obvious to the non-existing crowd.

Clenching my phone to my chest on the other hand, I started to run, the loud stomps erupting the peacefulness of the neighborhood, once I reached my front door.

'Ahhh, home sweet home.' I thought as I heard another beep from my phone, making me smile once more, defeating the sadness which the night had to offer...

Sagittarius POV (Earlier)

"Hyung can you please check if she gets to go home safely?" Gemini asked as he pouts.

This kid... With a cute appearance like his you wouldn't even guess that he was a murderer.

"Whatever you say" I remarked before placing my right hand on his head and ruining his hair by shuffling it, making him pout even more as a reply.

I climbed on the stairs and went on to the roof top, I was greeted by a breeze that hugged my skin, resulting me to shiver in the cold.

Nevertheless, I held my binoculars out and scanned the area.

' Aha!' I mentally shouted as I spotted her amongst the streets, she was the only one walking around at this time of the night.

I could see her clearly, sweat started to trickle down her forehead as if she knew she was being watched, as if she acknowledged my presence, she was about to make a run for it until she heard a beep from her phone.

'Does she even know how stupid she looks right now, smiling on the streets?' I thought, not recognizing the smile that crept on my own face as I watched her run to the door of her household, her breaths forming miniature clouds in the air, her tiny feet creating a loud ruckus in the area and her hair bouncing ever so gracefully.

I enlarged my eyes at the thoughts I was having and started to slap myself lightly. 'Don't fall in to her trap Sagittarius, Gemini has marked his territory on her.' I thought as I placed down the binoculars and went back inside, troubled with my own thoughts matching the sadness the night has to offer...
