“Ayos ka lang ba Sis?” She faced her with her clueless face.

“What do you mean?” Her eyebrows meet in between not knowing what was going on.

“Kanina pa ’ko kwento ng kwento sayo teh and it’s been 30 minutes passed pero never mo ‘ko sinagot. May problema ka ba? Is something bothering you?” Krystal sleds the nearest chair beside Sam so that she could interrogate her.

“Ha? Ganun ba? San na ba tayo nahinto? Ano nga kasi yun?” She starts digging her sketch papers showing a great sign of panic.

“See? Lutang ka teh. Ano bang bumabagabag sayo?”

 

“Wala lang ‘to Sis. Pagod lang sa trabaho, sobrang dami ng ginagawa tapos hangover sa send off party for Rob Evans last night.”

“Hangover? Ikaw?” She points her and shook her head enthusiastically.  “Wag mo nga akong niloloko Sis. The last time I checked ikaw ang taong hate na hate ang alak, and the last time you had it hindi maganda ang kinahitnan mo. And to top it all, you promised me na that’s your first and last tikim and you never break any of your promises-or you actually did this time.” Her friend nagged.

Sam gave her a fake smile. “Actually I took a few shots and that’s it. Nakakahiya kay Rob, siya na mismo kasi ang nag-alok.” She scratches her head and shyly gave Krystal an awkward smile.

“A few shots, indeed. Pero hindi ka magkaka-hangover dun agad. Sis, oo na you have a low alcohol tolerance pero knowing you, yung shots mo na ‘yan for sure 2 glasses of vodka lang ‘yan  kaya ‘wag mo kong echusin.” She tapped Sam’s hand in a silly way. “Tell me honestly, anong pinoproblema mo?”

Sam had no choice but to tell her the truth. It was actually about the date with Chase and she hates the idea. It gives her a headache, big time. She’s been planning since the night on how she will escape it but nothing was in progress.

Hindi niya alam kung paano niya haharapin ang taong pinakaiiwasan niya sa loob ng ilang taon. Hindi niya alam kung paano niya ito tatratuhin at kung paano niya ito kakausapin.

Yeah they had actual conversations for the past days but it took her guts to do it. It took her a few deep breaths, calming techniques, and anxiety always takes place after seeing him. Alone time was the most horrifying thing.

Feeling niya guguho na lang basta ang lahat ng binuno niyang lakas ng loob kapag nakaharap at nakasama niya ito nang sila lang dalawa.

Feeling niya basta na lang lalabas ang kaluluwa nito mula sa loob niya at saka siya sasaksakin sa harap niya ng ilang libong beses dahil ganun ang nararamdaman niya kapag nakikita niya siya.

Ganun kasakit at hindi niya ito kinakaya.
