Chapter Three

"So that concludes the school tour. What do you think so far?" Scott said. Luke sighed, "Seems good. I think I'm gonna like this school better than the old one." "What is up with you and that school? You keep talking about it on the whole tour. Did they bully you or something?" Luke looked at Scott in shock. "No, no. It's not like that. I just feel unwelcome there. Like someone was trying to ruin me or something." Scott was quiet for the whole time they walked. "Okay Luke, this is where I leave you. I have classes in about thirty minutes. Just go to that room and they will help you get through the school. See you!" Scott ran as Luke waved his hand and said "bye." He entered the room and a secretary was there welcoming him. "You must be the new student." She said. Luke nodded.

In a classroom, around 20 students were there. Shouting, playing and throwing paper everywhere. The teacher was just sitting their writing on his grading sheet. "I hate my job." He said. Suddenly a knock was heard. Everyone grew quiet. The teacher opened the door and Luke appears. "Ah! You must be the new student. Come inside and introduce yourself." He said. Luke shyly enters the room and stood in front. "Hi, my name is Luke Conner, I just moved here from a town called Raven." He said. "Okay Luke. You could sit down next to the lady in the third row." The teacher said pointing to a girl with blonde hair with pig tails. Luke nodded and walked towards the girl. "Hi." She said. "Hey." Luke smiled and started listening to the teacher. "Okay! Because you are a new student and you probably muted the whole room for a while. We'll start off with you." The teacher said. Luke's eyes widened. "Me? What am I going to do?" he said. The teacher grinned. He turned his board showing "3." and said, "You are going to write the decimal numbers of pi.. Kind of a first impression for me. It's okay if you could only write 10." He said with a grin. Luke didn't seem surprised. He stood up and went in front of the class and took a marker. He then started writing the numbers 1415926535 and continued writing the following thirty digits. "Is that enough sir?" Everyone's jaw dropped. He placed the marker on the teacher's desk and sat down. "H-how did you...." the teacher said. "I always loved math. I kept on memorizing the values of pi when I was 10." The teacher composed himself and said good job to Luke. Luke thanked the teacher. Some of his classmates congratulated him. "By the way sir, what's your name?" he said. The teacher looked at Luke and said, "Phint Froes" he said. Luke nodded and wrote Mr. Froes name on a notebook.
