Harry Styles

Numbness had always been the best way for me to handle things. But I could no longer do this. Not anymore. Being numb to my feelings for Samantha only hurt her and myself. I loved her. And admitting that to myself could only make things easier as I try to make it work with her.

That's why I was moving to London. And bringing her with me.

A job and investment opportunity had come up and I had to follow it. I was stupid for not. And I was going to bring her with me. That was the only thing I could think of. Her coming home with me seemed ideal. Fixing our lives together in London was all we could truly do. It sounded perfect. But I don't know how'd she feel about it.

Everything within this past year had been building to this. To my spontaneity and my choice to move there. To start over with the one person I wanted to be with and get to know better. She had changed me in ways I never thought possible.

Before her, I was insufferable. I was a bastard with a joy for hating people. But I found myself different now. Saying thank you and meaning it. Caring about my employees differently because I knew she was one of them.

If this wasn't love, I sure as hell don't have a clue what is.

"London, really Harry?" Louis said, raising his eyebrows. "I mean, I'd love to see you back there, with your family and all, but is that really the best?"

"I feel confident in my business here, it doesn't mean I'm leaving here forever. But it's where I feel I need to be. And I have a question to ask you regarding my move," I told him, leaning back in my desk chair. I had called him to my office to discuss things.

"Let me guess, you want to bring Samantha with you?" Louis answered, a half smile on his face.

"How'd you guess?"

"You never had to hide anything from me mate. I've known this entire time," Louis said, shaking his head. "You're not one to hide your feelings believe it or not. When it comes to things you're passionate about, you're very unreserved."

"I love her," I told him, sighing. "But that's irrelevant. I truly believe she'd be great there. I want to know if I have your permission to ask her."

"While, she has finished up the line as of right now, but I can't make this decision. You're welcome to ask her, but if she says no you have to understand. She has a lot going for her here."

"I understand that, but I truly believe she could do even more incredible things in London."

"You do what you need," Louis said. "But I know one thing, for sure, she loves you back, man."

With those words he walked out of the office, leaving me in my thoughts. My love for her was impossible to explain. She was beautiful. Witty. Intelligent. And I had barely scratched the surface on her.

My hands itched to call her and tell her the news, but I knew this was something I had to deliver in person. I debated calling Louis back to get her new address, as she was living with her friend now, but I decided against it. I would, instead, politely ask her.

If I was going to try this whole relationship thing, I needed to be mature about things.

I grabbed at my phone and dialed her number. Calling was better than texting, right?

"Hello?" her sweet voice answered, sounding more content than I'd heard her in months.

"Sam?" I said, knowing it was her, but not wanting to blow this.
