"Are the Pure Ones gone"? Griffin asked.

"They may be defeated but they are never going to be gone". I looked at him and said "It looks like it's time to take these owlets home". Iris looked at Metal Beak and just shook her head and then took flight with us. We landed in front of the owlets and I told them "Don't worry we are here to bring you to safety" even though they couldn't hear us. All of the Guardians picked them up and took off. We reached the mists and dug our talons into the owlets to keep them from falling as we got through we saw the bright morning sun.

"It's been awhile since we've seen this glorious sun" Boron said. Iris looked at the sun "I've never seen such a beautiful object in my life". I looked at her and said "well now you can see it everyday". She smiled and the warm air brushed against our feathers and we saw a large group of owls. We landed and set the owls down and everyone cheered.

The owlets were put into baskets and carried off to be healed. We watched as the four baskets were carried away. We told our stories and reported that four owls had been killed.

"Is it true that you killed Metal Beak"? a mother owl asked.

"Yes it's true" I said proud of my decision but I knew the Pure Ones would be back.

"What will we do if they return"?

"Then will fight and defend the Great Tree and the owl kingdoms". After a few hours Griffin, Iris, and I were telling the young owls about our battle with the Pure Ones.

"I'm Cynder" an owlet yelled.

"Im Metal Beak" screamed another running towards her. Ezylryb saw them "see Cynder you guys are heros in their eyes". We looked at each other and smiled. Griffin then took flight "Let's go guys" he said.

"Alright let's do this" I said. We all took off and went to do flight training because we still had a lot to learn.
