Chapter 1 ~ Tears Like "Rayne"

hello! this is a cube fanfic. its dedicated to my fam Rayne. ok. good bai. enjoy.

Milli's pov

I collapsed on the ground. I couldn't take it all. School was absolutely draining. I dragged myself to the computer. I needed to talk to my friends. And all my friends were internet friends.

I saw my best friend was on teamspeak. Her name was Rayne. (luv u Cuber4lyfe!) She was literally the best at everything. She was so inspirational, and so nice too.

"Hey Rayne!" I called, as I joined.

"Hey Milli!"

"Do you want to play on The Zone?"

"Obviously. I'm on already."

"Hahaha, ok Rayne. Wait for me."

We played for hours, until we got into one, special game.

Bee was on.

We teamed up and made it to deathmatch, where we both had full diamond everything, and two god apples each. It was only us and Bee left. She only had iron, and a normal gold apple. We felt bad, so we gave her our extra diamonds, and she crafted a sword and a set of armor. We fought, and Bee killed me, but Rayne killed Bee in the end.

After the game, we got a random person in our teamspeak.

"Hello?" A familiar australian voice called out.

"Bee?!" Rayne and I screamed in unison.

"Hello my honeys!" She called.

"Oh my gosh!" Rayne screamed.

"I have something to tell you!" Bee cried out.

"What?!" Rayne and I screamed.

"I get to invite one special people to a Cube meet-up! And I decided to invite you Rayne! For your amazing pvp skills, and your good sportsmanship in giving me those diamonds!" Bee said, as my heart shattered.

"Yay! But what about Milli?!" Rayne said, and I felt better.

"I'm sorry, but I can only invite one person." She said, sounding sympathetic.

"Then I won't go." Rayne said stubbornly.

"No. I won't take away your dream." I said, even more stubbornly than Rayne.

"Well, it's settled then. Rayne, message me so I can send you an airplane ticket." Bee said. And with that, she left.

Rayne and I just sat at our computers. Both of us were silent.

Finally, Rayne spoke.

"I'm sorry." She said softly.

"It's fine." I said, struggling to keep my emotions in check.

"We both know that it was your idea to give her the diamonds. And that you were the one who was good at pvp. And that you found all the diamonds." She said, but it only made things worse.

"You deserve it." I said softly.

"Umm...I have to leave now." Rayne said.

"It's fine. Go." I said, and she left, leaving me in my own pity. (btw, this is all fiction, and Rayne would never actually do this.)

I left my computer on as I dragged myself to bed. It was 3 in the morning. I curled up in bed, but I couldn't fall asleep.

I looked up at my poster I had. It was a picture of all the Cube members and me, and it had all of their signatures.

I couldn't keep it together anymore. My teachers were mean to me. My parents were never home. My only friends were internet friends.

Tears poured down my face like rain. All my emotions were multiplied, and it was too much for me. I fell to the floor, and stayed there for the rest of the morning.
