Chapter 19 ~ Think About It

Shyne's pov

I tiptoed back into the house.

It was late, and everyone was probably asleep.

I stepped onto one creaky floorboard, and cringed. It was so loud.

I heard a bunch of footsteps coming down the stairs.

I saw Bee and Rayne run towards me first.

"Shyne!" They screamed, tackling me to the ground.

"Yes?" I said, slightly dizzy from falling,

They let go, and Will came up.

"You were missing for several hours Shyne. We were worried." He said soberly.

"Oh...well sorry for worrying you all." I said, still slightly dizzy.

Everyone made sure I was fine, and then went upstairs. Except...Will.

Will just stared at me.

We stood in silence.

"Will? Why did you do it?" I finally said, biting my lip to stop the tears pooling up under my eyes.

He looked shamefacedly at me, then spoke.

"I wasn't expecting it...I was just talking to Amber, and then she pushed me down and kissed me."

"N-not just that..." I mumbled.

"Ok, I'm gonna start from the beginning." He said gently.

I nodded.

"Well, when I first saw you, I thought of you as the prettiest girl I had ever seen. You seemed sweet, kind, and geeky, but it was cute."

"When I looked at you, my heart raced, and when I ran into you, I felt so bad, so I decided to let you take my room until you came to."

"The day we went to the mall, I thought of it as our first date. Even though you didn't. I didn't mean to just ditch you for Rayne, but I saw her, and thought it would be cool to hang out with her for a while."

"We almost kissed, but then I saw you, and I couldn't do it. You were the first girl I felt like this about, and I didn't mean to hurt you."

"I know I dated Rayne, but I never stopped liking you. The feeling just seemed to get stronger. But you and Grape had become really close. I didn't think I had a chance."

"On Valentine's Day, I felt horrible for thinking it, but I was kinda happy that happened, because it gave me another chance with you."

"We had fun at Disneyland, and I was happy, thinking you were finally mine. But then, there was the Amber incident, which I don't want to talk about again."

"That's the whole story."

"I..." I started.

"Just-listen to me Shyne..."

"Listen Close." He looked into my eyes.

"No matter what happens, just know...I-"

"I love you Shyne, no matter what. Even if you love Sean, I will still love you." He finished.

I looked at him.

"Will...I just don't know right now..."

"Shyne, I know we all leave tomorrow, but I don't want to rush you. Take your time. But think about it."

"Thank you William." I walked upstairs, but as I did, Will's eyes never left me.

I didn't know what to do anymore.

But in my mind, my heart was telling me what I should say.
