As January woke, she felt another being beside her. Her eyes glanced to the person, though she could not see. She wanted to feel human affection, fear over-running her mind.
"Hello Patience. I'm Aaron Marx." The male stated to her.
January shut her eyes, doing her best to block the tears. 'It's January.' She thought. 'I don't go by Patience...'
She then felt the male's hand on her forehead.
"I know how you feel.. I went through the same thing not too long ago." His voice was soothing, making the incident she was in more of a dream.
She instantly calmed, enjoying the warmth of his hand.
"Sir we got her sis- Oops, he's not in here." Stated the perky nurse, laughing. "I'll let the dear rest."
"It's okay... She needs it." The male known as Aaron Marx replied.
"Well, we got her sister. She told us she goes by January since Patience was their deceased grandmother. And she's allergic to penicillin."
January then teared up some, overhearing about her sister. She missed her desperatly.
"Good to know." Aaron chuckled. "Well, January, its nice to meet you."
January glanced to him, overhearing the nurse's heels go down the hallway. Click, click, click. She closed her eyes as they were faint, wanting to wake up in her home, with her parents, with her sister beside her like when they were children.
"January I know your tired and probably want rest, but when I fix your eyes, I need to know what color, I'll read off a few, blink once for no, twice for yes, blink twice if you understand." Aaron chimmed in.
January opened her eyes, blinking twice. She wished he would touch her once more, wanting to know someone cared.
As she felt the warmth of his hand on hers, she relaxed, her body seeming like it was melting into the warmth.
"Blue." He said. She blinked twice, then once, unsure. Her sister, River, had blue eyes, and she didn't wish to look exactly identical to the foreign British actress.
"Brown." He stated. She automatically blinked once. Her eyes were already brown, and on her, she found the color dull.
"Gold?" He asked. She then instantly blinked twice.
"Then gold it is." He chuckled as he noticed her eyes shining with excitement.
"I'll be back tomorrow." He stated softly before placing a small kiss on her cheek.
The female blushed, but closed her eyes. In a few minutes as she listen to him leave, she fell fast asleep.
