After a few months January was back to normal. Due to Aaron, who was now her boyfriend, she had a new spine, except the metal was shown through her skin.

----

The day after, as she awoke, a loud gasp escaped her lips as her golden eyes glanced to Aaron.

He chuckled as her eyes went into focus.

She held her breath for a second, shocked.

"Good morning." He stated, smiling. She just nodded, still in shock.

He then grinned, standing.

She then sat up, looking about her surroundings, taking it all in.

"I can see..." She then laughed, smiling. "I can see!"

She then felt his arms wrap around her as he swept her off her feet, kissing her as he did. She kissed back, then laughed, smiling.

As Aaron put her down, he lead her to a small room nearby, gently pushing her in front of him.

She glanced at the mirror, surprised.

"T-that's us..." She stated, staring at her reflection, her golden eyes shining back at her.

She could hear Aaron laughing.

"Yes, that's a mirror. It shows our reflection."

She chuckled. "I know what a mirror is silly." She stated, getting closer to it so she could view her eyes. They looked almost like real gold, but with a few silvery metal parts in it. "Wow, it looks cool."

She then felt his arm around her side.

She smiled, looking up at him.

"Care to dance?" He asked, smiling. She blushed scarlet, nervous.

"I..can try..." She stated, not knowing how.

He just chuckled, taking her hands as he lead her to a wider room with lots of room. He then lead the dance as she followed, nervous. He noticed, pecking her on her cheek, then smiled as she looked up at him.

After a few moments, she got the hang of the ballroom dance, feeling more confident.

"Just follow me." He stated. She nodded in response, smiling.

They continued until there was a knock at the front door.

"You got a guest." January stated, glancing to the oak colored door.

Aaron opened it then smiled, seeing January's 23 year old sister.

"Come in River." He stated.

A loud gasp echoed the room as January covered her mouth, her eyes fixed solely on River. She was shocked that she got to see her sister literally for the first time after 19 years of only relying on what she heard.
