"Thinking about ordering without me huh?" She teased.

I froze before doing a 180. She looked gorgeous. She was wearing a strapless black dress that stopped at the mid-thigh, with see-through lace etched on the torso of the dress. Black heels, with silver accessories to match. Her hair was straightened but I've never seen such a simple hairstyle look so amazing.

"Woah." I mumbled, to whom I thought would be myself. She giggled.

"You don't look too bad yourself. So, are you just going to sit there or hug me?" She asked, perfectly shaped eyebrow raised. I snapped from my daze blushing like crazy. From both my slip up and the fact I was practically eye-raping her. I quickly stood, smoothing my dress before placing my arms around her waist, puller her in for a hug as her arms found their way around my neck.

"I missed you," I whispered sincerely.

"I missed you too."

I pulled away from our brief hug, taking Kamryn's hands in mine, with a small smirk on my face.

"Of course you did. How could you not miss me?" I questioned, wiggling my eyebrows playfully.

"That, is what I definitely missed most," she laughed, "your horrible ability to flirt." She laughed lightly, taking in account that we're still in a restaurant.

"What happened to the Kamryn that just went along with it?" I feigned hurt.

"She's on vacation," she smirked. I chuckled at that and motioned toward the table.

"Shall we?" Still smiling she nodded and I proceeded to walk around to her side of the table, pulling out her chair and once again scooting it back toward the table once she sat down.

"Aw look at you being a gentlewoman," she teased, "thank you."

"Well, I just noticed you don't look nearly as strong as the last time we spoke so, I thought I'd help you out," I chuckled back taking my seat, "but you're welcome."

"Oh, really? What are you implying Kehlani?" She asked, a perfect eyebrow raised.

"I'm implying that accompanying me to the gym sometime wouldn't hurt. You know, one of the ways we could hang out." I replied, she laughed.

"Nice save."

"In all seriousness Kam, you look amazing," I ogled.

"Thank you. I-I feel amazing," she sighed back, smiling and blushing at the same time. "Same goes to you."

"Thanks. So, how have you been these last few months?" I asked getting serious.

"I've been really well. A few problems here and there but, it gets better everyday."

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked a little concerned.

"No," she giggled, "It's our night tonight, let's not make it depressing. I just want to forget for a moment." She sighed with a small smile. She looked down and began to nervously play with her fingers so, I grabbed one of her hands in both of mine rubbing small circles on her knuckles.

"It's fine, Kam. I'm just happy to know you're doing better." I said waving her off with a smile. With that, we ordered our food after getting the waiters attention and just had small talk. Kamryn was telling me about her new job, how she liked it, the people she worked with. She told me how her siblings were doing and that part alone made my heart ache for a moment. As she spoke about them I saw the way her face fell a little, which led me to believe that was one of her problems. With that in mind I diverted the topic to something else for her sake, and she must've noticed because she gave me a grateful smile. We sat, full might I add, sipping on a pair of coronas. We decided not to drink too much seeing as to how we both had to work bright and early tomorrow morning.
