Chapter 5

I was sitting in Ryder's bed by myself. I couldn't help but think about the good memories of my old pack. Silent tears were streaming down my face.

There was a knock on the door. I wiped my tears on sweatshirt sleeve and mumbuled a come in. The door opened and Beth popped her head in.

"Hey can I talk to you,"She asked looking nervous. "Yeah. what's I want you to talk to and so does someone else," she said. Now she was making me nervous. The door opened more and Ryder's Beta walked in. I backed my self up to the head board. The Beta was really strating to scare me.

"Jessa, are you ok." It was Ryder talking to me through the mate link. "Your Beta is just scaring me," I replied. I heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs. Ryder slamed the door open. I am surprised the door didn't come off of his hinges. "Micheal, I will kill you if you keep scaring my mate," Ryder said through gritted teeth.

I got off the bed and ran to Ryder. He had been gone not even 30 minutes. I rapped my arms around his torso. I got on my tip toes and whispered in his ear "I missed you." He looked down at me with lust inhis eyes. "Micheal go run rounds and Beth go do something else," ryder said. They both got to the door and Beth truned around and said "You are going to tell me why you were crying and what your doing here instead of with your dad and mom," When she said my dad and mom I burst into tears.

Beth huried over to me.

"My mom is dead and they took my dad. They want me and I am so scared, Beth," I cried in to her shoulder. I looked at Beth. "Can you call my brothers to come up here but not with their mates, I just need my brothers right now." Beth and Micheal left the room. I went up to Ryder and hugged him.

Daniel and Alec came running up the stairs. They walked in the room and looked at me. They came and hugged me. "Hey it's ok, why are you crying," it was alec who spoke first. "I just miss mom and dad," I said letting the tears spill. I wiped the tears away tired of crying and I noticed Ryder standing there looking hopeless.

"Go get dressed we are going out with Kellan," I said to my brothers. They nodded before leaving the room. I walked up to ryder and brushed my lips on his. He was like a statue. He was starting to scare me. I brushed my lips on his again.

He still didn't respond. I started to back away. I walked straight in to the closet feeling kind of rejected.

I slipped into some skin tight blue jeans and a random tight t-shirt. I walked out of the closet to see Ryder was gone. Something is up with him and I don't like it. I walked out of Ryder's room and down the stairs to the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and found Kellan sitting on a stool looking at the counter top.

"Hey, monkey, what's wrong," I asked him. He looked at me with fear in his eyes. "Daddy, came down the stairs saying bad words and he know my off my stool, but it was an axident, I think," he said jumping off his stool and running over to me. I picked him up."Do you have any boo boos," i asked him. He noddedhis head. I walked towards Ryder's office.

I came right in the door. I saw he was wearing glasses and working on some paperwork. "You want to explain to me why you were cussing near my son, and pushed him off his stool and now he has a big bruise," I said. He looked up at me and saw that I was pissed. He looked confused.

"Whatever, we are leave we will be back in about an hour or two," I said disappointed in him. I met Alec and Daniel at the door and got in some lamborghini that was in the garage. We pulled into some shopping center.

We were getting ice cream in a special shop. I felt someone watching me. I turned around and my eyes landed on the people I was not looking forward to seing anytime soon.
