"So you couldn't just wait for me until the end of school? You had to leave again?" Rebecca exasperatedly points out. I roll my eyes, and continue patting my foot along the beat of the punk song blasting my room.

"Sorry." I simply answer. I just don't see the point in actually staying until the end of school if it was anyway, the last day. After all, I was too dazed off and weakened by Nick and I's sudden meeting after all these years. It hurt to see him, so I couldn't stay there any longer. Why? To watch reckless, horny girls fangirl over the hottie actor that just came back? Well he's not Nick Robinson the actor to me, he's the douche bag Nick, the guy I knew since ever, that only thinks of his intimidating self.

"Anyway, what are you wearing tonight?" Rebecca's thin voice blocks my thoughts away, and I look up to her in confusion.

Her eyebrow immediately goes up in annoyance, and I laugh,

"Rightt!" I say to annoy her even more. I stand up, putting my feet inside my flip flops and walk along my wooden closet. I take out a thigh reaching, white beach dress that hugs my upper body, and flows down my thighs.

Rebecca smiles and rushes to touch the soft fabric.

"I was always a sucker for your dresses." She giggles, and takes out her similar, red one.

"Come on, let's get dressed. Tonight is going to be the best all-night beach party!" She squeaks and flips her blonde hair to the side as she struggles to get her dress over her body.

As we both stare at ourselves in the mirror, she gasps.

"We look beautiful!" She says with excitement, her brown, shiny eyes staring at me on the mirror attached to my wall, next to my double bed.

I nod, and truly admire the way the silky dress hugs my body. I let my curly, soft hair down, and immediately reach my lower back and add some eyeliner and mascara. I look at my brown eyes, that contrast the white dress from the way the mascara brings out the little hazel I have in them. I smile, my full red lips forming dimples on the side of my cheeks. I wave down the dress with my arms and turn to Rebecca where she's putting on her small platforms.

"Ready?" I ask her, and she nods with a wide smile. She powders her freckled nose and we immediately go downstairs.

I wave my mum goodbye, not letting her worried expression when she echoes her speech about no drinking, drugs or sex and wave her off by giving her a warm kiss on the cheek and rush out to Rebecca's White, Convertible Beetle.

"So, I know we're not supposed to talk about him..." Rebecca starts when we make a right and notice the beach way ahead down the cliff. We can see the light coming from the lanterns, and shadows of people and cars crowding around.

"Nick is..."

"No, we don't talk about him. I don't give a damn about what he's doing R, please." I beg, and try to make her understand how much pain this is causing me.

She heaves a long sigh and lets it go with a light nod. Her fingers tightening around the wheel, trying to keep herself from saying more.

"Here we are!" I say, and get out of the car, greeting all my friends.

"Hey Blake, Sasha, Elijah." I smile and give them each a hug. Elijah is wearing a warm, blue shirt, with short black jeans, and out his blonde hair stuck to the side. He looks fresh and clean, but also like he hasn't tried too much.
