LUKE

This is not how I planed today would go, with my thoughts battling against each other.
I was standing in the lift on my way back up to my level after giving Mia her mail.

I walk into my apartment I share with Ashton, Ashton and I have been friends since we were young he's always been there when I needed him.
"Bro where did you go to?" He asked as I take a seat next to him on the couch. "I gave that girl Mia her mail, you know the mail you picked up from our mail box this morning" I say trying to snatch the Tv remote out of his hands. "Oh? yea right.... So got any plans for tonight?" He said giving in and handing me the remote. "Well Cal has invited us to stay the night at his" I say while I flip through the channels.
"But why..? he lives in the building opposite!" He starts to laugh continuing to chew on his gum. "I don't know man, but he moved in two weeks ago and we still haven't visited" I reply giving him back the remote.

"I guess, but I'm not going tonight" he says throwing a new pack of gum at me. "And why is that?" I place the gum in my mouth and give the rest of the pack back to him. "Captain America is on tonight!" He raised his voice looking at me like I should obviously know.
"Okay whatever I going out to get coffee with him then I'm going back to his, don't worry I'll be back later on" I say walking over to the door.
"Alright bye bring back some food we seem to be running low" he yells. "Thats your fault!" I playfully scream down the hall.

It has been about 4 hours of Calum and I chilling in his apartment playing some Fifa, I felt my back pocket vibrate.
Pulling my phone out to reveal Ashton was calling me.

"Hey what's up Ash, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah everything's fine... Um that girl ....May... came and gave me some mail she was looking for you." He said crunching away at what I could hear were chips and they're probably my Doritos.

"What are you eating? Wait who's May? Oh you mean Mia! Mia's her name not May!.... And are those my Doritos! She was looking for me!!" I scream into the phone waiting for an answer.

"I'm eating Doritos, I knew her name was like May or something, yes they are your Doritos, and she was expecting you but the mail was addressed to me." He said calmly while continuing to chew on MY Doritos.

"So what did you say to her?" I asked eagerly waiting for his response. "Not much" her replied continuing to smack his teeth together. "What do you mean by 'not much' dude come on!" I say staring to Nibble on my finger nails. "Well by 'not much' I mean not much, she came and was like 'your name isn't Ashton Irwin so why the fek is this addressed to an Ashton Irwin'. Then I was like 'I'm Ashton Irwin can I have my mail' then she was like 'where's Luke!'-" I cut him off from that stupid girl voice he does.

"Okay okay whatever I get it and stop putting on that girl voice it gives me a headache" I spit at him a little annoyed I wasn't at home to see Mia.
"I'll see you later tonight and I'm not buying food so go get some" I say hanging up the phone.

"Ooooo who's Mia?" Calum says giving me some side eyes.
"She's the girl we got our mail mixed up with." I try and casually say sitting back and setting my feet on the coffee table. "If she's just the girl who's mail you got mixed with, theeeennn why is Lukey Pooky blushing and get annoyed he wasn't there to see her?" He pulls at my cheek making baby noises. "Am not!" I say pretending to be very confident.

"Alright... Whatever you say lover boy!" He giggles. "I hate you" I reply.

"I'm going to go for a walk" I grab my jacket and leave. " I'll be back later" walking out the door and across back to my building, the lift was taking longer than usual to get to ground level. I stepped inside and pressed the level 4 button with realising it was Mia's level.

I guess I should see her anyway..... I mean she asked for me when she was talking to Ash, and she was expecting me so I should probably stop by.

Shouldn't I?

Now I'm standing in front of her door giving myself a prep talk. Is it okay to be here or is this creepy coming to see her? Oh god she's gonna think I'm a creep, I knew I probably shouldn't be here. I slowly pull back my hand from it hovering above the wooden door.

'I shouldn't be here' was my last thought before I heard her voice.

"Luke?"

Fuck ufck fcku fukc fffffffff.... Wtf did she just get out of the elevator!!! Um shit what do I do oh god she's gonna call the cops on me!!! Oh please oh Fucken please let me disappear!!!!

"Uh hey, Mia what are you doing here?" I say with a slight laugh, Please don't think I'm weird. "Well Luke I do live here hahahah" she replied with a laugh walking over to where I was standing, she unlocked the door and closing it in front of me.

Oh she Fucken hates me! She thinks I'm a stalker great, good one Luke Fucken good one buddy. I hear the door open again to reveal a giggly Mia.

"Oh come on Luke I'm not that rude. Please come in?" She said walking away leaving her door open for me, Oh thank you lord was all I was saying in my head.
"So what brings you here? You must have wanted to talk or ask me something?"

"Uh well Ashton told me you stopped by so I thought I'd say thanks for giving us our mail haha" why am I so nervous??? Well Um Luke you fuck wit you did just drop what you were doing to stand in front of her door soo... The little voice in my head rang.

"Oh sure it was no problem if you hadn't have dropped by I probably would have completely forgotten about the mail, and well that would have been really bad for you..... I mean like you wouldn't have been able to pay rent or something." She rambled on probably nervous like me.

Mia took a breath before continuing "So who is that Ashton guy you live with?". "Oh he's my best friend. I'm sorry I should have mentioned it to you earlier this morning." I say scratching the back of my neck. "Don't worry bout it haha" she laughs the awkward tension away thank god I'm starting to sweat.

"Well are you hungry?" She said turning swiftly on her heels heading for her kitchen. "Depends on what you got?" I say with a smirk playing off my lips. "How does Chinese take out sound ?" She said snatching a menu off her fridge and way her phone in her hand. "I guess I could stay"
