I've had some creepy dreams while staying at my wife's grandma's house in El Paso, Texas. One night I dreamed I was in the back seat of a car going down a wooded road in a rainstorm. It was really muddy and dangerous, and this car behind us kept tailgating with their brights on.
We almost crashed because there was a fallen tree across the road that stopped us. Then I could see a girl walking in the rain, coming toward us from the other car. Just as she got to the car window and I could see her through the glass, she was suddenly in the seat beside me, totally soaked and staring at me. Her skin looked like wood, all shiny wet and grainy.
That shook me so bad that I woke up and went to the back room to sit and wait for the sunrise. I was just sitting at the kitchen table when I turned to look at this glass display case full of trinkets. There was the girl, a little wooden figure staring at me.
I waited for the sunrise in the backyard instead.
