I was laying on my belly, basking in the warm glow of the sun.
Eve was out for her daily jogging sessions. She usually comes home all wet with a certain smell of lime.
By the time that Eve returned, Petra was scrambling all over the place as she'd overslept the whole afternoon and was late for work.
After that, Eve gave her a kiss goodbye and went straight to the shower. I'd usually follow her. Then I'd continuously eye her while she bathes as a safety precaution if she ever slips and falls, I'll be there to save my human.
When she's done, I slip out of the bathroom and head somewhere else.
Sometimes, if I felt like it, I'd go down and meet up with my friends, Albus and Moore. They're a pair of silly cats but still very entertaining to be with. On the other hand, I do have the choice of lazing around the apartment all day. Maybe find a box somewhere? Or a warm basket of clean clothing? Eat my freshly opened canned tuna? Or play with Mike the mouse and his lady friend, Joana the rat? So much to choose from...
Suddenly, I heard a loud ding coming from outside.
"Pizza!" Eve exclaimed.
She opened the door and a scruffy looking scrawny guy with red bumps on his face handed her a box of delicious smelling food.
"Seventeen sixty, please."
She gave him the green paper and closed the door.
She headed to the coach and turned on the big flat picture box. She opened the box that contained food, and in that instant, I jumped up and took a slice of pizza and scurried away.
"Victory! That wasn't meant for you!"
Moments after I had gobbled everything up, my eyes felt heavy. This gave me the impression of needing to take a quick nap, so I did.
I headed back to Eve and poked her stomach with my nose. Her gaze was pleasant and her skin was nice and soft. I decided to lay on her lap. She didn't mind and started petting me gently. Slowly but surely, I fell asleep.
