When Elvis first started singing and playing guitar he did not go that far with his concerts. He didn't really get famous until after he started to play on radio stations, even then most people thought he was a black man because of how he sang and played his music. At the time music was seperated by music and color music meaning that the blues were what blacks listened to.  When he first started to get famous he didn't have enough money to get plane tickets to get to his concerts so they would have to drive everywhere. Most of the time when he would get done with one show he would have to get in his car again and by the time he arrived at his next concert he would have to go on right away. When he first started to do concerts many people would say to him keep your day job. When people said this it wouldnt help his self-esteem which wasn't very high in the first place. while on concert he met his first girlfriend Dixie although this relationship didn't really last long because he was always gone on tour. While on his tours his only support was his mother Gladys, his father never belived in him and always told him you can't make money by playing guitar.
