When Elvis was only 23 years old his mother died at the time she was only 42 years old. She died August 14, 1958 because of heart failure. What made it worse for Elvis was not long after she died Vernon got a new girlfriend named Dee-Dee. Elvis thought that his father had moved on way to fast making there relationship even smaller. After he was shipped back to America all he could think about was Priscilla who was still in Germany. His relationship with Annie was over but he it saw coming because of how her letters seemed to be saying that she had a new man in her life. Too make things worse the movies he was working on were horrible and so he hated working on them.
