Samson looks at me stunned. How can I be engaged, and not remember? Why hasn't he shown up? "Who are you engaged to?" he asks. "His name is Ryan. We had just gotten engaged two weeks before the bombing, and was together for two years before that." I answer. "He didn't show up when they told them that you got your memory back?" He asks.

"That's what I was just thinking." I turn to him, "I haven't changed my mind. I'm still in love with you. I just need to break it off with him. It should just take two days' tops."

"Why two days?"

"I need one day to catch up and one day to tell him it's best if we break it off. I going to tell him that I'm in love with you." I say resolutely. "Surely he has to know that you are alive and he hasn't shown up. You just need an hour to go and tell him that you are going to be with me and give him back the ring." Samson grumbles. "We'll see."

"We'll discuss this in the morning. Let's go to bed." Samson stands up and pulls me up with him. He leads me into the bedroom and we get undressed and get ready for bed.

When we're all settled in, I remember. "Right before I passed out, Brianne told me that Chloe's last name was Weaver. Is that your last name?"

"Yes."

"She was the last person that I spoke with before I left the building. She was so happy. You called her while I was there. She spoke with you and her smile became bigger. She was so ecstatic about your son. I felt him move before I left." I whisper.

I wait for him to reply, but he doesn't say anything. His arms tighten around me. But the silence is still there while he absorbs what I just told him. After a couple of minutes, he releases me, "Do you mind if I sleep in the other room tonight? I just need to absorb this."

"If you want. I'll see you in the morning." I'm disappointed. I should have known that it would affect him this way. He kisses me and gets up without another word and goes into the other bedroom.

Her announcement has my head spinning. She was the last person to talk to my wife, before she died. This has to be something. I try to close my eyes and sleep without her, but my head is filled with the last moments of Chloe's life. After tossing and turning for a couple of hours, I pick up my phone and call Kyle. "Hello." He answers sleepily.

"Hey man. Sorry to call you this late, but I need to talk."

"I'm all ears."

"Car-Hailee just told me that she was the last person that Chloe spoke with before she died."

"Really?" He asks softly.

"Yes."

"What did she say?" I relay what she told me and he's quiet for a minute. "What did you do?"

"I'm in the second bedroom." I tell him. "So she tells you that your wife was happy when she died and you leave her in the room alone? I know that you received a shock there, but it's been over a year. The news that she gave you is good. Great even, and you leave her alone. Most people can't say that someone died happy. Hell, Ray's alive and he definitely isn't happy right now. Go back in there and get your woman. She's already had two traumatic experiences and she has made it through both of them amazingly."

"She tells you some news that's actually good in a way and you leave her in a lurch. She's probably feeling lost right now. You need to fix this and now." He says. "I'm going to hang up now and you go to her."
