Flash
The shattering of glass.
The breaking of plates.
The tremors of the impact rebounding off the wooden floor.
She twisted and turned throughout the never-ending maze of darkness.
Stuck in the drivers seat.
Stuck in slow-motion.
Stuck in life.
Flash.
Kicking, Punching, Screaming.
Mocking, Sneering, Cheating.
She laughed.
This was her.
This was the start.
This was the end.
Another Flash.
2 Doors.
1 Open, 1 Closed.
2 Choices.
One good, One bad.
Another giggle.
Another step.
Another fufillment of dreams.
Just not hers.
A leap of faith, and a rope on the edge of the cliff.
Clinging on for dear life.
Laughing as she paraded down into the dark bottomless pit.
Laughing, Dancing, Joy.
Another flash.
Nearly there.
Swirling around the basin, like ships stuck in a whirlpool.
Still laughing, still giggling, still alive.
Scream. Silence. Giggle.
Flash.
