~The Procrastination Queen
Yamaguchi
Tadashi sighed as another girl shyly walked up to him. His brows furrowed a little and his lips turned into a slight frown. He already knew what this girl wanted. She wanted to talk about his best friend, Tsukkishima Kei. It was basically a daily routine for him. All the girls that had come to him were always asking questions about Kei. Tadashi hated it, but he dealt with it for his friend.
"Y-yamaguchi-san...could you t-tell me what Tsukkishima-san likes to eat?" the shy girl asked. Tadashi just sighed and put on a smile, a forced smile that is.
"Ah, he likes strawberry shortcake," Tadashi replied reluctantly. The girl bowed and dashed away, probably to make some shortcake for the tall blond.
Kei and Tadashi had been best friends since grade school. Tadashi first met Kei when he was bullied for the small freckles that adorned his tan face. Kei didn't really do much. He simply mumbled a 'pathetic' and left, snickering to himself. From that day on though, Tadashi viewed him as a hero and followed him everywhere. Over time, Tadashi had to admit that he started to have feelings for his best friend. He loved everything from Kei's fluffy, blond hair, to his tall, lanky build. Tadashi especially loved the way Kei's dark glasses framed his golden eyes and the way his eyes closed slightly when he smirked.
There was no way Tadashi could win his heart though. Kei received many confessions and each of them were from people he couldn't compete with. Tadashi's heart would clench whenever he saw a confession, but he would sigh in relief as he watched Kei reject the confession. He felt guilty that he was so pleased when Kei rejected someone, but he just couldn't help it.
Tsukkishima
Kei felt something tug at his heart when he saw Tadashi talk to a blushing girl. He knew the girl wasn't asking him out, but Kei didn't want to lose his best friend. Kei would never admit it, but he really did have genuine feelings for the young, freckled boy. His heart would thump loudly and his ears would turn slightly red. Kei took a peek at his black haired companion and he felt heat rush to his cheeks. Tadashi was focused on something, and Kei's heart pumped quicker when his friend started to bite his lips.
Kei immediately 'tsked' and rushed away before he could embarrass himself. There is no way he would return my feelings anyways...Kei thought to himself. He didn't know how wrong about it he was though.

A few more weeks had passed and Tadashi finally had enough. He just couldn't stand any more confessions and so he decided to confess himself. He straightened his black uniform blazer and attempted to comb his hair with his hands. Tadashi took a deep breath and went to go search for his friend. Tadashi rounded the corner and was about to call out when he saw his friend talking to one of his teammates, Hinata Shouyou. Tadashi gasped and quickly hid himself behind the corner.
He peeked over and saw that the short ginger had said something to the taller male. Kei immediately blushed and turned away, scowling. Kei pushed his glasses up with two of his slender fingers and Shouyou snickered. It couldn't be a confession...right? Yamaguchi panicked. It definitely couldn't be a confession since Shouyou was already dating the team's setter, Kageyama Tobio. Tadashi tried to convince himself, but he couldn't help but to notice Kei's face get redder as Shouyou continued to speak. Tadashi felt tears burn his eyes and he quickly turned away. He let out a whimper and ran away before the other two males could find the source of the pathetic noise.
Tsukkishima
Kei couldn't help notice the disappointed look on the face he's grown to love. He noticed that Tadashi was holding in tears and that his plump, bottom lips were trembling. During the rest of the day, Kei was constantly distracted by the freckled boy next to him. Kei just sucked in a breath and stared out the window, thinking about the horrid conversation he had with the Shouyou, the short decoy.
"Hey Stingyshima!"
"Tch. Don't call me that...shrimpy. What do you want?"
"You like Yamaguchi-san, don't you?'
"Tch..."
"HA! CALLED IT! TOBIO!" Shouyou screeched and raced to find his own boyfriend, leaving a poor, blushing Kei by himself. Maybe I'll confess today...Kei thought to himself.
The blond megane was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the bell ring. He quickly slid his books into his messanger bag and stood up. He noticed that Tadashi had his head hung low and the way he trudged tugged at Kei's heartstrings. He slowly reached for the shorter male's shoulder, but his hand was swatted away. Kei gasped and was taken aback. He growled a little and was going to tell him off when he noticed the depressed expression on his adorable face. Kei's voice faltered.
"I-I want to go alone today...See you!" Tadashi squealed and ran away, leaving an extremely confused Kei.
Kei 'tsked' and decided to follow Tadashi. Something was wrong and Kei wanted to figure out what had happened to the shorter male. Kei quickly shuffled out of school and followed Tadashi from a distance, his club activities completely out of his mind.
He watched painfully as he watched Tadashi drag himself towards home. Suddenly, Kei shivered and he knew there was going to trouble. He saw a bright light and heard a loud honking noise. Kei gasped and charged towards Tadashi.
"TADASHI!"

Tears streamed down his tan, freckled face. He knew it wasn't really that big of a deal, but he just couldn't handle the feeling of being jealous anymore. His normally bright, brown eyes were now dull and his view was blurred by tears. He saw a bright light from the corner of his eyes when he crossed the street, but he ignored it. He completely blocked out the honking until he heard a familiar voice.
"TADASHI!" BAM!
Tadashi felt a heavy weight thrown on him and he was thrown down to the ground. Long arms were wrapped around his thin torso. He was shaking as he turned around slowly, afraid to see who had saved him. His eyes widened and he was right. Tsukkishima Kei had saved him. More tears flowed out of his eyes as he watched Kei cringe in pain. He slowly sat up and felt warm liquid on his shirt. He looked down. It was blood...not just anyone's blood, it was Kei's blood.
"K-Kei?" Tadashi called out meekly. The said blond just smirked.
"Pathetic."
Tadashi was too shocked to even move as his friend took his last breath. He heard jumbled voices around him and arms wrapped themselvs under his armpits and dragged him away. Guilt filled in Tadashi's broken heart as he stared at Kei who laid on the floor, blood flowing from his body, golden eyes closed forever. He trembled as he was sat down. All the voices were jumbled and he pressed his hands against the sides of his head, covering his ears. He shut his eyes and let his tears pour out.
It was all his fault his friend died. Maybe Kei could have lived. If he had payed attention. If he hadn't been so blinded by his feelings. If he hadn't been so pathetic...
