Stolen Hearts

Cop!Daichi x Reader

(Y/N) POV
You nodded your head to (whatever song you'd like) on the radio as you were driving happily to the mall. You were craving for some food court food for some reason. Also, Daichi wasn't home to cook and Daichi is a great cook.

You and Daichi had been dating since your guys' second year of high school. Now, you are 23. Daichi worked as a cop while you studied (whatever major you'd like) at (random college).

You heard honking behind you and you curiously looked at the mirror at the side of your car (idk what those are called ok?). You noticed a police car was behind you and a familiar figure was dat down at the driver's seat.

You quickly pulled over, only to find a mad looking Daichi stomp towards you. You were a little bit frightened if you were being honest. I mean, Daichi is really scary when he's mad after all.

"D-Dai...chi?" you gulped nervously.

"Ma'am, you have been charged for grand larceny," Daichi said, sternly.

You gulped, confused. You were also a little hurt by the fact that Daichi had called you ma'am instead of (f/n). Your lips quivered and tears pricked the corners of your (e/c) eyes.

"W-what do you m-m-mean, Daichi?" your voice cracked.

Daichi just couldn't resist your face and felt guilty for making you sad. He couldn't mess anything up though. So he pushed through it.

"Ma'am. Please step out of your vehicle."

"But Daichi! What did I do? What even is grand larceny?"

"It means you've stolen something. Ma'am please."

Almost crying, you reluctantly stepped out of your car and followed Daichi. He slowly walked towards the police car. You finally burst. Tears were now free falling from your face and onto the floor.

"Daichi! What did I even steal?!" you grabbed Daichi's wrist and harshly yanked him around.

You attempted to wipe the tears and stop them. You heard Daichi sigh and it made you cry even harder. He gently took your hands and wiped the tears off of your face.

"My heart, (f/n)...You've stolen my heart."

Your breath hitched and you stopped crying immediately, gaping at him like a fish. You watched as he got down on his knees and grabbed something out of his pocket.

"(F/n), I don't have a crazy long speech for you or anything, but just know that I love you and I want to be with you forever. So please...Will you marry me?" Daichi asked, hopefully.

"Daichi you cheesy sh!t! Of course I'll marry you!" you cried once again, but this time the tears were happy tears.

Daichi slipped the shiny ring into your finger and the two of you shared a passionate kiss. All of a sudden, you heard popping noises and the two of you broke apart. Daichi still had an arm wrapped lovingly around you though.

"Congratulations!"

You giggle as your friends popped out from behind trees and bushes, shooting confetti out of confetti guns. Daichi kissed your cheek and you wrapped your arms around him, crying happily.

"You've stolen my heart, so please keep it safe."

Extended ending:
"Daichi, you almost made me thought I actually did something illegal or something!"

"Almost?"

"Oh shut up, I hate you."

"Haha I love you too, (f/n)."
