I’m in the train again. The weekend with Mary was really nice, that’s why it was extended with two days. What means it’s already Wednesday. Today is my first date ever! I am very nervous, because I don’t always get Cas. And that freaks me out. I don’t understand Cas’way of thinking. I don’t know what he wants or thinks, freaky right?
Today I’ll be picked up at five o’clock at the end of my street. Oh, I’m curious how it’s going to be! The smile on my face won’t disappear like the whole day. I thought a lot about Cas, and I think I can become in love with him, I’m not in love with him, but it’s possible I will be. The train arrives and I cycle back home. The twins and my parents let me in and are so happy they see me again. Seth and Daphne take me upstairs and we play with playmobile for a very long time. They’re the most cute kids in the world, I love them so much! They’re twins, like I said and are six years old now. Dafne is a cute girly-girl, all pink and princesses. Seth is very quiet and shy. And suddenly it’s half past four already. I get dressed and put on some make up. At a quarter for five I’m finished and I look at myself in the mirror. The scarlet, tailored, quite tight dress fits me perfectly. At my hips, it’s getting wider. And if I turn around my skirt is all billowing and it’s so cute! It reminds me of princesses. I bought it with Eva, and we both love this kind of dresses. I wear some cute black shoes and a little make up. Round my neck is a beautiful chain that consists of a simple green stone. It’s Eva’s, but I borrowed it. When I went to her house this afternoon, to get the chain, she was so excited I had a date. She was laughing all the time because of my nervousness. And of course, I am so happy with her. With all my friends of course. They’re so sweet!
I look very closely at myself and decide to leave. I close the door behind me and walk to the end of my street. Cas is already there, leaning against a weakly shining lamp. His hair falls over his forehead on a very sexy way. It reminds me of Leonardo diCaprio in Titanic. But Cas’hair is black. Then he looks up and smiles.
‘Hi Sophie, you look beautiful.’
I blush and bow for him, like someone from the middle ages. ‘You’re not so bad yourself.’
He offers me his arm and we walk along together. After a very short walk, Cas walks towards a black car. Not a very expensive one, a Golf, I think. Cas holds the door for me and I get in the car. A boy who’s in his twenties, sits in the driver’s seat. ‘Hi’ I say. The boy looks at me in the mirror and just smiles. Not in a chatty-mood, I guess. ‘Let’s go!’ Cas says to the boy, after he sits right next to me in the backseats. As soon as we’re moving, Cas starts searching in a little box in the car and pulls out a bandage.
‘Oh no.’ I say.
‘Oh yes!’ and he ties it around my head.
‘Is this really necess- Wow! It’s so dark!’ I say surprised.
‘Really? Well, take it off then, it was like this, so you would peak.’ Cas says sarcastic. I quickly grab the bandage with my hands, but Cas is faster. He takes my hands and put them with his hands in his lap. He holds them there, until the car slows down.
‘Do not look! It’s not the right time!’ Cas says and he helps me out of the car. I hear the car driving away, and then I am somewhere. With Cas. I don’t have a clue, where we are. He puts an arm around me, so he can lead me. We walk over step, across some streets, round corners and then we stop.
‘One second, almost there!’ and he opens a door with a key. He leads me in the building and there is an explosion of sounds. The sound of metal against metal and irritated, yelling voices and splashes of water. I smell a lot of things, too much to name them all. Where are we? It’s hot, noisy and some very strong odors.
I think I stopped walking because I was kind of scared, because I feel Cas pushing me forwards. ‘Almost there.’ He whispers in my ear. Holy shit! He’s so close!
Then he stops walking again and pulls my bandage off. He carefully slips it round my neck and his hands slide from my shoulders, upper arms to my waist. I stiff, this guy touches me so much, and I can’t get used to it!
We are in the back of a gigantic kitchen, I think it’s the back of a restaurant. Behind the kitchen is a table for two; two plates, a candle, a white tablecloth, it’s perfect!
‘Cas! I know this! It’s from that movie, Life As We Know It!’
His cheeks turn red again. ‘Yes, that’s right. Is that a problem? We can go somewhere else, if you want to.’
My god, he is so sweet when he blushes. Wait, what did he say?
‘No! Cas, of course not! It’s amazing!’
He smile and leads me to my seat. He even slides my chair for me, he is such a gentlemen! Some parts of his character are amazing and I always dreamt of someone like him, but you know, he has something I don’t trust.
Suddenly a waiter appears and he says: ‘Do you have any allergies, M’dam?’
‘No, I don’t.’
‘Are there vegetables, or other things you don’t like?’ he asks.
‘Uhm, I do like fish, but mussles, octopus and all that is not very tasteful, I think.’ I say carefully.
‘I understand. Is it is fine for you if you don’t know what we’re going to serve you, M’dam?’
‘Of course not! I thinks it’s going to be fabulous!’ and the waiter goes back to the kitchen.
‘What an amazing idea.’ And I smile at Cas.
‘I love your smile. Only the best for my Sophie.’ He says.
My Sophie, huh? Sounds weird. I only know a few people who would say it like that on date numero uno. Whatever.
The waiter bring us some baguette and Cas makes me one with the sauce which is on the table. ‘Bon appétit!’
