"There's an old voice in my head that's holding me back. Well tell her that I miss our little talks." - Of Monsters and Men

Isabelle was running around the institute planning her brother's and best friend's wedding. To say she was excited was a big understatement. She and Jace have waited for years for this to happen.

"Start arranging the flowers in the wedding tent. I want the roses to make up an arch by the entrance."

"Isabelle." Another shadowhunter called. "Which color would you like for the curtains?" She asked as she held up 2 fabrics.

"The cobalt blue. It's elegant, masculine, very Alec. Plus it goes with the light pink roses, Thea's favorite color." She smiled knowingly.

The other shadowhunter smiled and nodded before proceeding to the wedding tent as well.

"How are we supposed to get any work done with all this going on?" Jace said as he walked up to Izzy.

"Well I'm sorry we're such a nuisance to you Jace." Thea said sarcastically as she strode past them and into the training room.

Izzy gave Jace a look. "What is your problem? We've been waiting for this for years. People are allowed to be excited."

He opened his mouth to answer but Izzy cut him off. She didn't want his negative energy on this special day.

"You know what? Go ahead and work. I don't care but you are not allowed to ruin their mood today and tomorrow. Clary and Magnus are waiting for you. I gave them the names of our suspects."

And with that she walked away.

"Why are you doing target practice on the day before our wedding?" asked an amused Alec as he walked into the training room.

"It's never a bad time to get stronger. Besides, I have a reputation to uphold." She smirked.

He quirked an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? And what reputation is that?"

"Best Archer."

"I beg to differ. I thought that was me."

"Well you thought wrong then."

"Wanna bet?"

They ended up challenging each other, whoever can hit the middle of the target more wins. But they were equal. They have always been equals.

"Good job Lightwood." She commented as she saw all their arrows hit the bull's eye. "But I still have one more trick up my sleeve."

She loaded her bow and aimed for the target Alec had shot perfectly. She smiled at him and let go.

They glanced at her shot and saw that it had split his arrow right down the middle

Alec let out a sigh but smiled proudly at her nonetheless. "Good job Mrs. Lightwood"
