Chapter Twelve
I pull the door open and exclaim, "You couldn't just go to someone else's house?"
"Hello to you too," Jay says, grinning and walks into my house. "And you are my girlfriend, remember?"
"Well I am breaking up with you." I say.
"And just give in to Sky?" Jay says teasingly.
I swiftly change the topic to one that is much more important at the moment and ask, "How did you know where I live?"
"I stalk you." he answers before noticing Jamie standing there. He raises his eyebrows at me and says hello to her.
"Hi." Jamie replies, looking a little confused.
"We're watching 21 Jump Street." I inform Jay and he follows me into the living room. Jay spreads out on my sofa so I sit on his leg. He winces and then moves over for me. My best friend has suddenly become very quiet and I smile at her. She returns it after a moment. Checking everyone is finally happy and munching on snacks, I press play.
Sometimes you watch something alone and it seems pretty good, and then you watch it again with friends and it is so hilarious. That's what it's like right now. Jamie and I keep having giggling fits even when it's not that funny. And we keep exclaiming how hot Channing Tatum is. Jay looks amused at our reactions but I know he is thinking the same thing. Seriously, you can't be attracted to boys and not think he is adorable. Although Sky is more adorable. I chide myself for thinking about him again. I sigh, sitting back and trying to enjoy the rest of the movie…
I feel something moving next to me and I hit it, wanting to go back to sleep. Then I release that nothing in my bed should be moving. I quickly open my eyes and find myself resting on Jays shoulder with Jamie resting on mine. My eyes drift to the clock while I remember what happened last night. Damn, I fell asleep before the end of the movie.
"Oh my God!" I yell jumping up. Jay and Jamie both wake up, clearly startled.
"What the-" Jay starts.
"My aunt will be home in twenty minutes! Get out now! She will have a fit that a boy, especially you my 'boyfriend', is in our house." I exclaim pulling a very bleary eyed looking Jamie off the couch.
"And I have to go too?" she whines sleepily.
"Just tell her I'm gay!" he complains, stretching his arms. Jay and I look at each other, realising what he just gave away.
Jamie stops pouting and stares at him, "Really?"
Jay shrugs and gives her a half-smile, "Yeah…"
"And you guys were just pretending to go out?" Jamie says slowly after a moment. Wow, she catches on fast. "To… make Skylar jealous?" I nod and she sheepishly pulls out her phone. "I may have added to that jealously factor."
"How?" I ask suspiciously. She logs into her Facebook and shows me a picture she decided to post of Jay and I sleeping on the sofa together, appearing to be the cutest couple ever. The photo already had a bunch of likes.
Jay thinks it's hilarious but I feel annoyed. Jamie puts her hands up, as if to shield herself, "I'm sorry! I will make it up to you!"
"Do you think he saw it?" I ask, finally calming down.
"Probably." Jay answers. "That guy is always on the internet."
I sigh. "Just great…"
"I love you, Michie!" Jamie says, throwing her arms around me. "I will do everything to make sure that boy wants you more that he has ever wanted anything!"
