Kira’s POV

I woke up on a bed, my head hurting like hell.

I groaned when I remembered where I was. I tried to escape but Zach flooded the room with gas.

Assh**le.

I got up but sat back on the bed, trying to fight the dizziness that fell upon me.

I was going to kill him. Nobody messes with me like this without being repaid the favour.

I stood up and looked around the tiny room.

Besides a bed there was a couch pushed against one end of the wall, a desk and a chair against the other, and a huge metal pod in the centre.

Not even a television or a computer.

Home sweet home for the rest of my life I thought miserably.

My eyes fell upon the metal pod. What was it?

I walked over and looked inside it. It looked like a bed. There was a headrest, with a folded-back visor and to the side a collection of tubes ran, disappearing into the floor.

What was this?

Its console was a touch screen. I grinned and searched through the computer’s database, overwriting security locks and looking around on the network to which it was connected.

This was really interesting.

Huge amounts of data were transferred in staggering pace.

The intercom cracked and I heard Zach’s detestable voice.

“My God, woman, can you please leave my systems alone???”

“What is wrong with you? You wake and the first thing you do is find a piece of equipment to fiddle with?” he asked.

I shrugged.

“I am not talking to you.” I responded.

“Ahhh. A bit upset about the gas, aren’t you?” he said.

“F*ck off.”

I fiddled some more, but Zach had thrown up blocks to the more interesting applications.

“Don’t you want to know what it is?” Zach said.

“Hmmm…I’ll find out myself” continuing with what I was doing.

After 20 minutes I gave up.

“What is it?” I asked

“Now? Useless junk.” He responded, “You wrecked your pod. Thank you.”

I shifted uneasily.

“God, I hope you don’t wreck the engines.” He commented.

“If you send me home you will be sure of that!” I suggested.

“Yeah, that is not happening. Ever.” He responded.

“Why not? You would be much better off without me; I’ll make sure of that. I know plenty of better engineers that would love to join you on your trip.” I said.

“Hmmm…I have grown somewhat attached to you. Or rather to your D-cup.” He responded.

I gasped. The guy was such a sleaze.

I grinned evilly, “Some of the guys I know come close to a C?”

“Ugh, that is not helping your case.” He replied.

After an uncomfortable silence, Zach said, “The pod gives you access to our VR environment.”

I looked up surprised. “You have VR?”
