Jess's POV
I looked up at the familiar jingle of the door. I was greeted by a devishly handsome man. Cole.
Another boy entered behind him. He was cute, I'm not gonna lie, but nothing compared to Cole. I smile as Cole meets my eyes and gives me a lopsided grin. Only then did I notice little plugs in his nose, like the ones Hazel had in the Fault In Our Stars, and his brother was pushing a little oxygen tank.
He headed towards my booth and I stood up. He was wearing a Adidas hoodie and jeans. His cute brown hair was ruffled and he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek.
His blue eyes sparkled like diamonds. I shook hands with the other boy an slid into the booth. Mr. Touche beside me.
"So your the one this jerk is smitten with?"
"Hey!"
Jess laughed. She gave a quick look at the boy. He had blonde hair and Brown eyes. The complete opposite of his Step Brother.
"I guess."
"How cute. What's your name doll?"
"Back off man."
"Just making sure she ain't a hooker or something."
"Not a hooker. I'm a pole dancer though."
"What?"
"Sorry bro. I forgot to tell you Jess here was a pole dancer."
"I umm... Umm..."
"You don't think I can be a pole dancer?"
"You don't think Jess can be a pole dancer?"
"Umm. Umm."
Jess giggled as Cade's eyes glanced nervously back and forth between the pair.
First, she was not a pole dancer. Or a hooker. But he didn't need to know that.
"Are you judging Jess?"
"No! Ummm! I'm sure your a lovely pole dancer! I mean, I wouldn't want too see You. I MEAN IM SURE YOU HAVE A LOVELY BODY ITS JUST YOUR COLES UMMM."
Jess couldn't help it. She burst out laughing.
"I'm not really a pole dancer."
"Oh. What a relief."
"Yep. She's just a Stripper."
Jess whacked Cole.
"I'm not a stripper either! I work at Starbucks!"
"First, I didn't know that. Second, you better not be a stripper. I wanna be the only one to see your body."
"Ewwwwww you perv."
Cole threw his head back laughing. Jess couldn't help but laugh along. Not just by his laughter but the look on Cades face.
