Chapter 9 - Bronnor Interview

Brad's POV:

I sit down and Connor sits to the right of me. Opposite us sit Frankie, she smiles 'ready?'. I nod slowly and turn to look at Connor 'ready Con?'. Connor turns to me and puts on a fake smiles 'ready'. '5, 4, 3, 2....' the camera man says before the light comes on and Frankie smiles 'hello and welcome to TVTube, I am the one and only Frankie Cheedle and I have half of The Vamps sitting opposite me. Bradley Simpson and Connor Ball. Tell me, how are you both?'. I look at Connor and speak first 'I'm great thanks, how are you Con?'. Connor smiles, but its a fake smile 'I'm feeling ok thanks'.

Frankie smiles 'so yesterday I tweeted out about our show and told fans to send it questions and things for me to read aloud'. I hear Connor swallow nervously and I look at him worried. 'Lets do it' Connor says and I nod nervously. Frankie loads up her phone and chuckles 'my phone soon blew up when I sent that tweet'. Connor laughs and you can tell that it was fake. Frankie's eyes go wide 'well there are certainly some opinionated people in this world'. I bite my lip nervously and nod. Frankie looks up from her phone 'are you guys ok?'. I nod slowly and turn to Connor 'I'm fine thanks, what have people been saying?'.

Frankie smiles 'I'll read the nice ones out, Brad there is one here from a girl called Suzy and she says that she loves you so much and she's seen you twice now. Shes loved both times too'. I smile and wave at the camera 'hi Suzy, I love you too!'. Frankie carries on scrolling 'Connnnnnnor' she says looking for one. As she scrolls, Connor's smile starts to fade until Frankie smiles 'Connor, Ashlee says that she thinks your amazing and ignore the haters because they are just jealous'. Connor nods 'thank you Ashlee'.

Frankie looks up from her phone 'whats this about haters?'. I look at Connor and he shrugs his shoulders 'y'know, just haters'. I can tell Connor is trying his hardest to be brave. Frankie scrolls through Twitter again 'wow, you've got some hate coming in Con'. I bite my lip nervously 'yeah we know, what about.....'.Frankie speaks up 'this one is harsh'. I try to speak up again 'maybe we can skip......'. 'This one says that Connor should just quit the band' Frankie says shocked. I roll my eyes 'Frankie, just stop!'. Frankie looks up shocked 'pardon?'. 'Can we just read all the nice stuff please?' I ask nicely and she nods slowly 'sure'.

I look towards Connor as Frankie scrolls through the phone and Connor still has a fake smile on himself. I look back at Frankie and she smiles a little 'Iv'e found one from someone called Daisy and she says that Bronnor is cute and she wants to know why you call it Crad sometimes?'. I smile 'we're trying to start a trend, we've rarely seen Crad'. Connor nods and adds 'even though Bronnor rolls off the tongue easier, Crad is more fun to say'. Frankie nods 'I personally like Bronnor more than Crad, but everyone has different opinions'.

Frankie scrolls through her phone and smiles, until her smile fades 'I won't read that one'. Connor laughs, but it sounds faker than the other one 'I don't mind'. I turn to Connor and bite my lip 'I mind though'. Frankie looks between me and Connor 'the tweets about Connor, so its up to him'. Connor shrugs his shoulder 'I don't mind, what does it say?'. I look towards Frankie nervously and she looks down at her phone.

Frankie takes a deep breath 'its one of those tweets where they've put a dash at the end, so bare with me'. She presses on the tweet and reads it aloud 'I won't say the name, but it says. Connor is such a big baby, I hate how he is using Brad to try and gain his popularity again. Can't he just quit the band already because -'. Frankie stops and presses on another thing '- his plan isn't working and its just pulling Brad down with him. In all honesty, I feel sorry for Brad having to put up with Baby Ball. Good luck Brad'. Frankie looks up from her phone and Connor is biting his lip and his eyes are watery.

Frankie looks at me 'perhaps I shouldn't have read that'. I cross my arms 'you think'. Connor takes a deep breath 'ok, I need to say something'. I look at Connor and slip my hand into his, he looks at me nervously and a tear slips down his cheek. I use my free hand to wipe the tear away. Connor looks at Frankie and then back to me 'I've been thinking about this and this interview has helped me to decide something'. I look at Connor confused and Frankie bites her lip 'do you want the cameras on or off?'. Connor shrugs 'I don't know, either way I'll get hate no matter how I do this'.

'I've b-been th-thinking and I'm going t-to quit The V-Vamps' Connor says, holding back his tears. I feel my eyes become watery 'C-Connor?'. Connor looks down 'p-please d-don't hate m-me Brad'. I slide my hand into his 'I could n-never hate you Con'. I see a tear fall from Connor's eyes and I lift his chin up so that his eyes meet mine 'w-wanna go home?'. Connor nods slowly 'I-I wanna g-g-go home, I-I need t-to see m-my mum, R-Rex and the r-rest of my f-family'.

I look down and nod 'I understand'. Frankie turns her head towards the camera 'stop recording please'. The camera man nods and turns the camera off. Frankie stands up 'I'll erm... I best leave you guys to talk'. Frankie heads off and Joe comes walking over 'Connor?'. James and Tristan are still standing by the door in shock. 'Are you sure you don't want to think this through?' Joe asks and Connor shakes his head slowly 'J-Joe, I-I've thought it t-through, I-I wanna g-go home'. Joe nods slowly 'ok, we'll erm... go and collect your stuff then'. Connor nods slowly 't-t-thank you'.
