Chapter 14- It's Not My Day

Today is not my day.

Today at school was the worst. It has been exactly 2 days since Aiden has talked to me. He didn't talk to me all of Monday or Tuesday. I'm glad that today is Wednesday and the week is almost over.

At school I kept on running into everyone and everything. I almost tripped over my own book bag. My locker wouldn't open so I had to take everything with me. The contacts that I wear went down the drain. I was almost late to school because Anna couldn't be here today and my dad left early, so no one woke me up. All we did at school was take long, boring notes.

To make matters worst, I had a pop test. I know I made a bad grade. Today is not my day.

I would call Emma, but she is with Jasper. My only choice left is Xander, but he is at work. Every Wednesday he stays and works late helping everyone that works with him. I am all alone.

Thinking I should get out of this house, I got up and went to my room. Today is a cool day, I should go to the park and just relax. This can help me.

I looked at myself one more time. I'm wearing black shorts, a white flowy tee, and black converse. Nodding my head I went down the stairs and out the door. As soon as I opened the door, the cool breeze hit my skin. The sky looks grayish, but I doubt it will rain.

Me- Dad I'm going to the park. I'm just letting you know in case you come home and I'm not here.

Big Boss🏈- Got it. I have a late meeting, might be home late.

Me- Got it

I locked my phone and started to walk. The walk to the park isn't far, it's just like a 5 or so minute walk.

After a couple of minutes, I finally reached the park. I sat down on a bench and looked at my surroundings. Nobody is here. That's good because I just want to be alone right now. But like always, luck is never on my side.

I heard a car pull up and the doors opening and closing. I don't think they can see me because they, the boy and the girl, went over to another bench and started making out. Somebody is a big fan of PDA. I looked closer and saw it was Aiden. Wow. Just wow. But who is the girl?

"There could be someone else here."

Who is that? Are they a thing? Do I know that girl? Why are they here? Wait. Why do I care? It's his life not mine.

I saw them looking around. I quickly looked away and put my earbuds in. I'm glad I brought them with me. Looking at my phone, I started acting like if I was listening to music. The girl noticed me and said, hey. I acted like I didn't hear her, it would look weird if I answered and have earbuds in. She stared waking towards me, pulling Aiden with her. Great. I quickly went to my music and put on a song. Little Do You Know by Alex and Sierra started to play.

Closing my eyes, I started to sing the song out loud, forgetting about everything around me and how bad today was. After a couple of seconds, there was a tap on shoulder. I took my earbuds out and looked up. Yep. It's Aiden and some girl.

"Hey, Cecilia. I didn't know you were here."

Obviously, because you just made out with someone like literally in front of me. Wait. How does she know my name? I've never seen this girl ever in my life. That's creepy.

"Well, here I am."

"What are you doing?"

"Sitting down on a bench."

"I know that. Why aren't you reading or studying?"

"Because I have a life outside of school."

How does she know what I do? Does she stalk me? Aiden seemed to be holding back a smile. I bet he won't talk to me right now, either. Right now I could really care less.
