The Reason

CHAPTER THREE 

~The reason~

''Raven, do you know your parents. Or how you got here?" 

Klyde asked calmly 

"No, not really. All I know is that my parents left me here after I was born." 

I was nervous about where this was going, all my life I've wondered about why I was here or who my parents were. I had a feeling this would be a challenge to digest all knew information. 

"Raven you don't have any family and you one day walked into the castle crying, hungry, and you had been living in the woods for a while. but you were around the age of 30. do you know how you are now healthy, young, and don't remember your past?" 

I was shocked. I've only heard legends about this I was about to start asking why me? why me? why me? but then he cut off my thoughts. 

"Raven, I know its a lot and I know what you are but just tell me if you're ready to listen. when I learned you were this I was also shocked but I waited till you were ready and I believe you are ready." 

"I am ready. I mean I cannot really change who I am." 

we both slightly chuckled which eased the mood slightly 

"Raven you are a Phoenix, most people believe them to be birds of fire but what people don't know is that they can be anything they want, to a deer to a whale. to a human to a rat. but when you die you transform into whatever you want leaving your old life behind you reincarnate into whatever fate feels like you must. Raven before you died in your old life you told me and I didn't want to believe it because it was a myth then. but you showed me what a phoenix can do but please believe me I'm not as crazy as I may sound, trust me Raven." 

"Klyde I believe you but how am I to learn how to like... control my 'powers' or if I even have any, there aren't many Phoenix's around today they used to be fairly popular till they were sent to live in a restricted country. Klyde are you going to send me away? please don't Klyde I like it here I just want to be here in this castle with my friends" I pleaded then tears began to run while I had the thought of leaving Robin to go to a stupid Jail for Phoenix's, I didn't want to go. 

"Raven you are staying here until you wish to leave and live somewhere else because we will not punish you for having a gift, Raven we will make sure that till the day you die and won't come back you will stay unknown as a phoenix" 

his voice was stern but reassuring and it made me feel safe, especially when he rapped his arms around me and hugged me to make me feel protected and I was positive he was telling the truth. it takes a lot to digest being a 'gifted', there were so many of them but my kind was the rarest because we were practically being hunted down and forced to spend eternity in a 'jail' more like torture, they don't feed you nor do they let you put of isolation. because when you reincarnate you begin again in the same spot just as a 3 year old, Phoenix's never had a real childhood unless they were adopted by a real family, we were always threatened and always had amnesia cause by the fact we have an awful memory. 

"Klyde I don't want to leave this place ever." 

I said with a little bit of tears, he then looked at me still in his arms then stared into my eyes 

"Raven I want you to stay forever here, with me?" 

it was half question half statement but one hundred percent made me feel overwhelmed with joy. I simply nodded and then went back to placing my head in the nook of his shoulder. We continued hugging the time until we heard an extremely loud shreak from downstairs as dinner was being served. It sounded like Robin's voice who pleaded loudly to be let go.Klyde and I ran down the stairs to find three people with swords and one with a bow while the fourth person held Robin by her neck. he caught her when she set the table. Oh gosh this is going to be wonderful I thought, Klyde and I gave each other concerned looks then his went into anger and courage. he pulled out a sword and I grabbed a bow and we ran around the corner towards the intruders.

OHHHHH YEAH Klyde and Raven kicken some butt XD Lol intruders beware! :3 So phoenix, I was thinken bout names for her 'breed' 'species' thing lol suggestions in comments possibly?? ok and also I want at least two votes and like 6-7 reads maybe? cmon I got eight followers done and done? :3 lol bye
