"I'm late!" Lizzie yelled, springing up from her bed. Her alarm clock screamed, but was quickly thrown on the floor, which made the screeching sound sound like a dying animatronic. "Clothes! I...I need clothes!" She stated running strait into her closet door. "That was a door! There was a door there." She said rubbing her head then tracing hands across the smooth wooden surface, feeling her way to the door handle. "Got it!" She threw on a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. She zipped up a Chrestwood Christian sweatshirt, which said Sterling 10 soccer player. Lizzie ran strait into her door again. BANG! "Why do I keep running into doors! There everywhere!" She yelled opening the door and running down the stairs.
"Stupid, Stupid, Stupid." She murmured to herself as she ran back up the stairs. "I NEED SHOES!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, making sure to open any doors and grab her converse and slip them on. "FINALLY! Ugh!" There was a loud bang that shook the house and Lizzie screamed "STUPID COREY!" Like before, at the top of her lungs. Of course he had already left for school so she was just yelling to herself. Lizzie slid down the stair case which was the faster way and grabbed her backpack before closing the door. She took a deep breath of relief, but that didn't last very long. She ran down the streets as fast as she could. "Morning Greg," Lizzie said running through his garden, as she ran she could hear Greg's sigh and a simple "Morning Liz." "Top of the day Petunia," Lizzie said jumping over Max, petunia's old receiver, "Why good morning Elizabeth," she said with a sigh just like Greg. Liz shook it off, she knew they felt sorry for her like everyone else on Watermelon Grove, the simple neighborhood had learned about Jennifer Heart's (the neighborhood model/slut) new kid. A daughter named Elizabeth who came from a sadly crushed home, mother and father diseased, loving grandmother on deathbed. The last thought made Elizabeth's heart drop. Now in the home of a Model who doesn't even care about her own kid. (Which was Corey) Corey! that thought made Elizabeth's blood boil. "That stupid, little, perverted brat!" She said under her breath. He normally would be worse than today. He usually would hide all her bras, socks, underwear and even her backpack. He once ripped up her homework like a dog. Mrs. Kimberly didn't believe her when she said her step brother ate her homework. Thankfully the bus hadn't left yet, but was almost about to, she hopped on just in time.
"Sterling your late" said the bus driver. "Sorry," she replied climbing up the stairs "What, Ugh!" She tripped on the steps, her binders spilling across the floor. The doors closed behind her, giving her a loud smack to the bottom. It would have been ok if the car hadn't started driving and the whole bus wasn't laughing at her, even the bus driver snickered.
She collected herself, checking to make sure her phone was in her pocket and her computer and I pad were not damaged. She slipped her water bottle into the side pocket and her binders in the back pocket. Standing up, she held onto the seats eventually making it to seat 5, sitting next to Dante.
"You ok, Liz?" He asked
"Yeah I'm alright," She replied setting her backpack on her lap.
"Did you eat breakfast?" He asked
"Nah, I woke up at 7:25"
"Ohhhhhh... That's not a good time to sleep in," he said making one of his prize winning faces. Dante was a sight to see, he had raven black hair, which was always highly gelled making it as hard as rock, dark brown eyes and tan skin. He was such a funny person, cracking jokes in music class, eating strange creative foods, he made himself, being able to come back with the utmost sarcasm. He was such a good person which made him Lizzie's best friend.
"Did you at least bring a lunch," he searched around Elizabeth's lap "And I'm guessing not, do you want some of mine?" He asked
"No!" She squeaked "Last time you had some sort of raw, bear battered, dietary supplement food!"
"Hey, it was good!" He yelled back
"It tasted like dirt!" She yell "put some dirt on a piece of bread and tell me what it tastes like, that's what it tastes like!"
"Hey at least you ate it."
"I was forced to."
"You had no lunch!"
"Oh just shut up, I was trying to help you!"
"No you shut up" at that moment Elizabeth's phone buzzed. Isabella, who sat 3 seats down started a group MS with KK, K, Rachel, Faith, And Gwen including herself, texted 'hi'. Liz turned shaking her head and smiling. Izzie laughed, mouthing the words 'are you ok.' Liz nodded, Izzie laughed turning her head to Tracie, Tracie laughed, sending a smile towards Liz.
Elizabeth had the best group of friends a girl could ever ask for. Dante as you herd, but also Kennedi and Kennedy (KK and K) the sweetest pair of same named girls there ever was. They both had brown eyes. Kennedi or KK was African American so she had the richest skin that reminded Lizzie of delicious coffee and her hair was two different colors braided down her back. Kennedy or K, on the other hand was Caucasian, she had creamy skin and the brightest smile, and freckles dotting her cheeks. Her hair was light brown and once and a while she would dye it bright red. Rachel on the contrary had Raven black hair, it was long and uneven going down to her shoulders. She had bright blue eyes with a gold ring around the pupil. She LOVED music and never went anywhere without headphones in her ear. Gwen was a small, petite, brown eyed, Filipino girl who could hit just any note possible. She had the most prettiest voice and a great fashion sense. Faith was a very helpful girl who was smart and loved everybody. She had brown hair and braces on her teeth. She was a funny girl who got along very well with the group. Izzie or Isabella was (very) tall towering over everyone except KK. She loved to be herself and be weird and was always caught eating Hot Cheetos in the bathroom during lunch. These girls where the best and would do anything for Elizabeth.
"Everyone off!" The bus driver yelled.
Crowds of teenagers exited the bus. But Lizzie had other plans. She grabbed her backpack and exited making her way elsewhere. While kids made their way to the basketball courts, the large field to play baseball, or the dugout to play softball before their first period class. Lizzie skipped on to Starbucks, sipping her newly prepared drink, she opened her laptop pressing send to her English paper.
"A Mid-Sumer Nights Dream, what a great book" she sighed resting against her chair. They did say you could send it the day of before school so miss lakly would be able to see it. Elizabeth looked at her watch, she shot up from her seat! "Stupid! I'm late!" She ran out of the coffee shop. Running across the street, she jumped the fence into the campus. She ran down the basket ball courts, and saw high schoolers and middle schoolers scram to her classes. She would never make it! She ran as fast as she could, through the dug out and the field, sliding down the hill opening the eighth grade door, face planting the floor, right as the tarty bell rang.
