"Lizzie, wait, you'll make it!" Splat! Ka-pow! Liz made the balloon pop, it was full of paint and it splattered all over KK's face and glasses.
       "Whoops," Liz said "Sorry."
"How about you work at tie-dye station, not the splatter balloons," she took the purple balloon away from her and Lizzie skipped towards the station. Finally! something she could do alone. Today was the church fundraiser, Sunrise Community Church host the annual fundraiser sending all the money to a missionary overseas. This year the theme was color, or all the colors of the rainbow. They were having a color run with colored dust, booths that involved splattering other people with paint like KK's booth, and finally making colorful crafts like a tie-die t-shirts to remember this year.
Lizzie started making one for herself. They t-shirt read Sunrise Annual Fundraiser 2016, they were cute.
"Mommy! I want one!" Screamed a little girl, eventually she was swarmed with 21 adults and 42 kids. It was stressful. With all the children she didn't notice Jayson sneak up and ask her for a t shirt.
"Sure!" She said back turned "that will be $10, I'll be right around to help you." She was showing a 5 year old how to tie the shirt together. When she grabbed his t shirt and the rubber bands she gasped.
No! No! No! She thought nearly dropping he supplies.
"Um... Can I have some help?" He asked.
"Sure," she replied quietly, everyone seemed to disappear, slowly but surly. They would only come back to pick up there shirts at the end of the day. She went around the booth to stand beside him. It was still very awkward since the "yoke" he said.
"So..." He said breaking the silence
"What colors do you want?" She asked quite fast, her words jumbled out of her mouth. He looked at her and pointed towards the boyish colors.
"Those ones, especially the green, there like your eyes," he said, she stared at him, he to had bright green eyes. They were dangerously close to each other for Lizzie to handle.
"Ok!" She peeped crawling under the table.
To close! To close! God he's cute! She yelled in her head. She put the bottles of dye next to him.
"Tie the t shirt with rubber bands, then spray it with color." She said quietly. He nodded and began trying to knot it. "Like this," taking it from his hands, their fingers collided. She jerked her hand back and began knotting it the correct way. "Now have fun!" she said smiling (a cheesy smile though, so it meant nothing.)
He enjoyed himself and sprayed it till she ran out of dye.
"Well that's all for me, today!" she said packing up.
"Wait your done?!" He said
"Yeah! And I better start heading home," she said "oh here's your jacket!" She said giving it to him.
"No! Keep it!" He stammered. She smiled (a meaningful one this time) and slipped the sweat shirt over her head. "Wait so your done for the day!" She nodded.
"The Suns going down so yeah!" She said "so I should be heading home." He was doing some sort of happy dance and fist bumping the air.
"Do you wanna spend some time with me?" He asked
"I guess, it's not like Jennifer is gonna pick me up anytime soon," he nodded and grabbed her hand.
"There are so many night booths! Which one do you wanna go to first! Or do you wanna go to the carnival games or rides?" She smiled and shrugged.
"Games it is!" He yelled, then he pulled her towards the games. They started playing a ballon water popping game, she of course lost, but he won. He chose the stuffed dog she was eyeing and gave it to her. She smiled and he put his arm around her.
They then walked to the carnival foods.
"What do you want?" He asked she starred at the menu and smiled.
"How about funnel cake," she said and he laughed. They eventually found themselves eating funnel cake on the fairest wheel. They sat across from each other talking.
"No! I'm not kidding," he said
"Yes you are! And I play violin so..."
"Really? I play trumpet, best instrument ever created."
"Are you joining the band?"
"No, it was to late in the year, since it's a month till summer, I joined computers."
"Next year though?"
"Next year."
They say there talking as the ride went around and around eating funnel cake.
"Do you wanna go on rides next?" She asked
"Of course!" He said
"Let's go on that one!" She said pointing to the roller coaster.
"Um... I don't do roller coasters," he said, voice shaky.
"Well you are now!" She yelled and dragged him on. They went on many other rides and eventually made it to there last stop, the picture booth.
"Come on," he said and they went in. They took funny and crazy pictures eventually coming close to kissing. But Lizzie 'escaped' before that happened.
"I'll walk you home," he said and they walked towards Elizabeth's house (more like Jennifer's.) he brought her to her door step.
"Thanks Jayson, I had so much fun," she said, he smiled.
"No problem," he said as he began walking away.
"Jayson wait!" She yelled and ran over and kissed him on the cheek. They booth blushed. "Goodnight." And she ran into her house, closed the door, and turned off the porch light. He smiled,
"Yes!" He said out loud! Finally! "She kissed me!"

Hope you all like it❤️
