After Lizzie kissed Jayson on the cheek she ran into her house as fast as her legs could take her. She leaned against her railing once she got up to her room. She cuddle into the jacket and fell a sleep.
"Wake up Idiot!" Corey yelled.
"Dang it! I left my door open," she whispered
"Mom's mad at you for coming home late and..."
"She's not my mom! And will never be." He gave her a dirty look. He walked away. "Screw you Corey!" Liz yelled.
"Get down here!" I she a voice yell, it was Jennifer. "And if I here one more bad word I swear you'll regret it" Elizabeth got up from my bed, Corey had left and it was about 6:30. So she slipped into a pair of sweat pants, put on the tie-dye t-shirt from last night and of course the jacket. Her messy bun didn't really matter to her even though she slept in it.
When she came down the stairs, Corey was "crying"
"Made my boy cry, girl your gonna have punishment." She took a ruler from the this was not right! She was gonna hurt her! Run! Run! Run! She told herself run as fast as you can! Jennifer came close. She ran out the front door.
Her legs took her far, since she was in soccer this was normal. Far, Far, Far away she told herself, like her dad said when she got a shot as midfielder run as fast as you can. She ran down multiple streets just running trying to get away. No school tomorrow, no this, no that, she needed a break from her deadbeat step-mom and step-brother.
"Liz?" She herd a voice, it was Jayson. Thank God!
"Jayson!" She yelled running into his arms.
"What's up with you, you look sweaty and winded," he had a cute confused face. "Hey do you wanna come to my house?" She nodded and they headed towards the newly built house.
"Sooooooo..." He began opening he gate. "Can I tell you something crazy?!" He asked. Liz nodded, noticing her messy bun making its way towards her face. "There was a person on my roof," he began "I think it was a girl, but you know I didn't have my glasses on so.."
"Wow! Weird?! Crazy things like that happen all the time," she said red face, he look confused.
"Well at least whoever it was hasn't come back."
"JJ!" Yelled someone inside, it was probably his mom.
"Yeah?" He replied, he pulled her inside. She gripped onto his hand. They weren't a 'thing' yet so it was ok to grab onto his hand. "Mom, I'd like you to meet Elizabeth."
She came over and scanned her, it was the most oddest feeling in the world.
"Soooooooo..." Elizabeth said
"I'm Vanessa," she said with a smile.
"Where's dad?" JJ asked sitting on a chair.
"You know where he is," she said pouring a glass of coffee for herself.
"JJ!" Said a girl running in. Lizzie didn't know what to do, sit down or stand.
"Lizzie I would like you to meet, Melanie, my baby sister." He said
"Wait, Jayson! Is this your girlfriend?!" She asked coming up to Lizzie. She inspected her like her mom. "I think she's great!" Melanie said, hugging her waist. JJ patted the seat next to him and she unhooked Melanie's arms and sat next to him. It was very awkward.
"Well this was nice," Liz said getting up, it had only been 5 minutes since she sat down.
"I'll walk you home," he said getting up. She nodded and they left.
"Sorry about them... They're just getting to know people," he said.
"Well I think they're nice," Liz said smiling.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure anything."
"My parent is abusive, and well... Could you, maybe... Do you wanna see my old home?" She asked changing the subject.
"Ok, but how... Ohhhhh, yeah I'd like to see your old house," he said awkwardly. Lizzie grabbed his hand and pulled him down the street. They turned right and then down many back allies, when she said they were there he didn't believe her.
She shook her head and rolled her eyes. Letting go of his hand, she opened a door. J didn't realize there was a door there.

It was beautiful. Turns out Elizabeth had kept the house in good condition, no had noticed the for sale sign till it eventually broke and withered away. Though the windows were broken and the fountain was as well it still looked beautiful.
"So," JJ said walking inside. Liz took her flats off and set them outside of the house. When she was done she took a key from under the mat and a match box hidden in the bushes. J did the same as her and then walk inside as the doors were opened.
It was dark but even though there was light outside, the bushes and flowers covered it completely. Liz took the match and lit all the candles inside. It felt like an adventure. Inside was gorgeous. Marble floors and tables, a rustic Fosset, walls painted, a leather couch.
"Do you come here a lot?" He asked, she nodded
"When I was little, before my parents past away, we lived in this house. It was nicer then...I think. The fountain worked, there was different lighting, stuff like that. And there were picture! So many great pictures, I... I just wish they were still here." Jayson nodded, they say down together on the couch in silence till Jayson spoke up.
"Some places you will never forget," he said that with a smile. Elizabeth nodded and kissed his cheek, she hugged him and buried her head into his chest.
"I think... I love you," she said smiling.
"No. I think I love you more," he said stuttering. "I hope I don't forget that." She laughed and they stayed there hugging and cuddling. For a moment losing something didn't feel so bad.
