Kian has been here for about 4 months now and they have been the best months of my life. "So, you're leaving in a week?" I ask one chilly Tuesday, Kian and I are in a park eating some lunch. "Yep, sadly" He replies. "It's gonna be horrible without you here" I tell him. He laughs and hugs me and I wish it could be like this always.
Kian is leaving tomorrow and we are going out to dinner to the bagel place again. "Kian I am seriously hopeless without you" I whimper. "No, you're not. You're beautiful, fearless l, strong and beautiful with or without me. I cry the whole way through the dinner and the restaurant runs out of tissue boxes.
Kian has planned something special before he leaves as it is my 18th birthday. We catch a taxi somewhere for ages and then when we finally get out he puts a blindfold around my head and leads me into somewhere, I stumble around like an idiot. I feel like I am in the bush or something. When he finally takes it off there are the three most beautiful lions I have ever seen in my whole life. I pick up one and hug and kiss it. We spend about 2 hours there. We watch the two parents nuzzle together and think of each other. As we are on our way back he says "Well I can cross that off my bucket list" We both laugh.

I am at the airport with Kian and he is in his clothes I bought him the 2nd day he was here. "Don't cry Beth" He says as I get teary for like the one millionth time . The boarding call comes over the speakers for his flight and I kiss him and hug him for ages. As he is walking down the ramp he turns around one last time and calls "I love you, Lion heart" Then I know how ever far away we it doesn't matter because we will always be connected by bad fashion sense, bagels, Layla, Nike, H&M, a beautiful deserted and Island and most importantly by heart because I am his Lion heart.
